There certainly seemed to be a shortage of really large bellies LOL...I have to say though the girls on this forum have given me the courage to move forward...so I kind of felt I needed to do the same..

Do you mind if I ask How are you feeling now? And Did or do you have any help at home to recover?

My sis ter was here for 2 days after, the only problem I had was swelling, as the day went my belly would get more and more swollen and then be very stiff, very little pain, Drains came out 2 days post-op, I was able to do most things for myself, hardest was moving in bed because I had my stomach muscles tightened as well. I have been driving, shopping , cooking since 1 week post-op. I will go back to work almost 3 weeks post-op. Feel very good The incision itself shouldn`t give you too many problems , only if you had muscle work done ,or lipo which can be really sore. Maybe they do it differently there but my incision runs from under bra to pubic line and then from hip to hip,extending around my hips onto my back. Just make sure you wear your compression garments at all times helps with the swelling and supports the incision.When i first put it on it took 3 of us and now I am needing a smaller one!!!!!

I should have said I had surgery on wed was released form hospital on Friday,stayed in a hotel friday , sat and sun then flew home MOn, I was worried about flying but there were no problems , got a wheelchair to help me change planes etc, some swelling but nothing like I was worried about. I feel stiff and swollen but no real pain , more like doing a million sit-ups at once.

Wow that all sounds remarkable to me and very positive. I am having lipo on hips and muscle tightening... My scar is going to run from hip to hip as I understand it...but we will see when I'm marked up on Tuesday morning....my op is 10 am....really nervous now....but also very excited... Thanks so much for the info......wishing you much wonderful healing x

don't worry if your first night is bad, i was very uncomfortable laying flat on my back , but then i got up next morning to walk and slept off and on all day and was very good by Friday, the muscle tightening will probably cause you the most doscomfort. Where are you having this again?

I am feeling really good, meds working very well..the most uncomfortable bit is the stitched muscles...the scar is not painful and no problems with my drain...I have just one drain and it's working well :-)

Happy to hear!! How is the tightness ? Very uncomfortable?

Katie it really isn't too bad... tight yes,,,but seeing the results I'm not bothered about the pain..... :-)

Thank you, I'm leaving in a few hours for my surgery and just really worried about the tightness and feeling like I can't take a deep breath . I'm so excited at the same time .

Just try and relax your breathing and don't panic...it will all be wonderful..just think and visualize beautiful results...let me know how yu get on .....much love x

My experience was/is not that the tightness affects breathing, but more like it affects eating. No appetite. Protein shakes and other liquids for a few days...tomorrow is 3 weeks post op for me. Excited for you!
