Still,swelling
WORTH IT$4,000
I'm still swelling, but i have to say that my body has always had a bit of edema....I think it has to be my bodies reaction to the internal stitches.
I've got one stitch which keeps coming to the surface and it bleeds a little but no infection.
This morning I got up,and was cleaning my teeth when I felt something on my leg.
Blood was running down my leg at an alarming rate and then it stopped.
I figure this is a natural draining point for my body, and I'm leaving well alone.
I'm sure eventually it will heal over when the reaction has stopped.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I can't go back to my surgeon as he is in Prague and I'm in France.
My local doctor had a look a few weeks ago and wasn't worried ....so I'm not.
I still love my flat tummy and am looking forward to not wearing the spans anymore..I have now got a lot of swelling in the tops of my legs ...but that's gravity and and the excess fluid has to go somewhere..

I'm still swelling a lot so I'm wearing spanx 24/7.... That's not too bad though.
I have got feeling back in the area above my belly button but it's swollen bellow and still numb.
I have two stitches still working their way out of the scar but generally they don't bleed too much. The doctor had a go at pulling them out but they are firmly fixed so we just leave them for now flush to the skin.
I'm still thrilled every day when I look at my body...I've lost 20 pounds and I feel a million dollars...
I'm so hoping that the swelling goes down before the summer but it's all been so worth it.
I'm going to book for dec to have my underarms done now...I will go back to Thomas Benes, he has done the most amazing job,on my tummy.
?Loving healing to all you flatsiders. :-) x

I've had a tiny tiny bit of discharge in my scar area...when I don't wear my CG for the day there is nothing on the pad...but when I wear the garment at night it must be the pressure that pushes out a minuscule bit of yellow stuff....my doctor still thinks it may be a stich trying to get out...but there is no infection as such ...I'm just being very careful with cleanliness.. I'm using bio oil and frankincence on my scar and it's looking really good...I have had to put a small marble in my belly button as it started to close up.. It's still small but it has stretched..
Still have quite a lot of swelling and sometimes a bit of soreness in the muscles.
But I am very very happy... I will post pics next time. Happy healing :-)

You look fantastic. It actually makes me emotional to see the before and after pictures. I'm so happy I did this and I've followed your journey. I've never heard of the belly button marble before. Aren't you so happy you gave yourself this gift? I'm thankful every time I pass a mirror, and I check the mirror every morning to make sure the belly still gone..l o l. Weird, huh? I have never had any oozing after three first few weeks. Sounds like you are taking good care. Congrats!!!

Glad you are happy Lynnie. Would you recommend the surgeon? I know it is only early days, but I am looking for a revision. xx

Well I can only go by my results.....the downside to going to another country is you don't get that aftercare unless you go back...but Thomas Benes was quite unique....I wasn't marked up he does it from eye..but he obviously has a good feel for the anatomy and how it will sit afterwards..he did say to me that as there was so much skin they may have to make a cut up to the belly button..but he would avoid that unless it would prove to give me a better aesthetic look....I just trusted his judgement....and I'm really pleased... So I would recommend him yes :-)

I will get back in contact with Forme. As you know I have had my upper eyes done there(fantastic result..Back in March 2014,so they know me. I am really finding it hard finding a surgeon to have a revision,as it's something the last surgeon should have sorted! I am trying to get some kind of compensation at the moment,as she left me with massive internal scarring caused by the hematoma.

You look great by the way..I wish I had of gone to the forme..But silly me thinks 'I need a female surgeon for that area!' Doesn't mean anything really and most males surgeons are much better anyway..What was I thinking???

It is a shame and I do feel for you....but it should be possible and I hope that you find an ending to this situation that brings you happiness and the body you wish for....we all take a big risk doing these procedures..it's something that we undertake never quite knowing how it will turn out...I'm still adjusting to the swelling everyday...even with all my research before.I had no idea really it would still be like this...but I am very glad I had it done....seeing you healed and happy...it will all be ok :-)
