Finally Went Through with Having a Breast Reduction in Prague

Almost 1 year after surgery!!

I don’t know if anyone will read this but I cannot believe that in a few weeks it’ll be 1 year since my surgery.
It is the best thing I have ever done in my entire life. I’m not going to say it has been the easiest journey because it most definitely hasn’t and sometimes I’m still not happy with my results as I’d love my breasts to be even smaller but when I look back at how they used to be I’m so so thankful that they no longer look like that.
I have gained a few pounds since surgery which I am hopefully going to lose after Christmas, and because I have an eating disorder it’s always a worry for me as my weight fluctuates so much and the weight always goes straight to my boobs which I hate but they haven’t lost their shape although my weight has changed so much in a year.
One breast is still quite a bit larger than the other which I have the biggest problem with but I am still incredibly happy and if I do want to change that in the future I would definitely go back to the Laderma clinic to make them more of a similar size.

You look great and so do your scars. Happy holidays!
December 6, 2018
You've healed really nicely, and the scars look great. Breast asymmetry is completely normal as you say and the asymmetry you notice in your own body is much less noticeable to others. In your most recent photos your shape looks perfectly proportioned to your body and unless you really study the photo the difference in size is not apparent. I just say that to reassure you that your figure looks good and any difference will go unnoticed by others. However, if your own feelings about the difference remain after a couple of years then a small revision is probably the way to go -- you don't want it to be a nagging thought for ever. But you look great already, well done you!

You look great! :) Your scars healed up so nicely and you´ve got a nice shape! Also it´s great that they haven´t lost their shape even with weight fluctuations. I got mine done too at the Laderma clinic 6 weeks ago and that´s something I´m slightly worried about, that if i lose weight my boobs are going to get a bit saggy again.
I understand your trouble with the small size difference. But you do have the same cup size? I mean it´s not that noticeable and they still look great, but I get that it´s bothering you. I kinda have the same problem, but it was more noticeable when I first got them done, now 6 weeks later it has already improved a little. Have you asked them about it now that it´s been a year?
December 21, 2018
Thank you! I am surprised that they kept their shape but I’m so happy they have. I only wear sport bras or supportive bras so I usually stay away from cup sizes or I obsess too much over what size I am. I think there is a bit of a difference between them though so I wouldn’t say they are not the same cup size. I spoke to them about 6 months post op and said that I’m concerned and she said to wait a year, but I won’t change anything unless I feel like I really need to so I might wait another 2 years until I maybe do consider surgery again. I knew for sure that mine would never be the same size as my left was bigger than my right before surgery but the surgeon took the same amount from both of them instead of taking more form the bigger breast. Good luck with your recovery and don’t worry too much about size right now as they change so much.

It´s really good to see that yours haven´t changed shape even with weight fluctuations, having them sag again fast has been the number one thing I was concerned about pre op (other than waking up after surgery haha).
Oh, don´t you mind not wearing ´normal´ bras also?
Hmm, I don´t really understand why she took the same amount from both of them when they were a different size from the beginning. How much did you get removed from each side?
My left breast was bigger too but now it´s the slightly smaller one, however she told me beforehand that they´re not going to be the exact same size so I´m okay with it. Considering the way the breasts looked before and the shape she achieved, it´s totally been worth it.

Yes I was so happy about that, but my skin has very good elasticity so whenever I do lose or gain weight my skin doesn’t change much. They do advise you to try and stay around the same weight but that’s not possible for me so I’m lucky really. I prefer wearing that type of bra and since they’re so small I don’t always wear a bra especially if I’m wearing dresses. I got about 420g removed if I remember right. Oh yes it’s definitely worth it as you can see form my results I look so much better now so different now!
December 21, 2018
Yeah right but it can be really hard not to fluctuate in weight, soo you´re really lucky then! Good skin elasticity is truly a blessing haha :)
Ok, so I guess it´s not bothering you too much and I don´t feel like anyone would notice unless they saw you without a bra on.
Yes they do! She truly did a great job.

3 months post-op

Hi, I'm now 3 months post-op and my wound has only just closed up (it took 2 months!!) how crazy is that. It was so much work cleaning it every day and having to wash my bra daily so I'm very happy that it's finally closing up!
My breasts have been great, they've healed and I've had no pain since the last time I updated. The sensation in my numb nipple is coming back too :) the only thing that I'm still bothered about is the size difference. My left breast is just so much bigger and I can't wear a normal bra because it's always too small for one side and too big for the other. Hopefully in a few more months the left will go down but I doubt it. I really don't want a revision but I think I'll have to!
One picture is from below so you can actually see the size difference! I'm still very happy though :)

I must say your scars are almost invisible after only 3 months. Yay for you!
The size diference is slightly visible in the pictures you posted, but may go down some more over time. At least you have the option of a revision if you need one.

I certainly have seen some improvement on a small dog ear I have, that was bothering me. I was ready to wait till the 6 month mark, and now it has dimished and is not noticeable anymore.

I'm having the same problem with size difference it's so frustrating I'm 7weeks and my left is larger almost a cup size. I have been fighting insurance for 5 years to have this done and now this
April 6, 2018
That must be so frustrating for you! The only advice I have is give it time; I hated when people told me to just wait a few months and it'll get better but they were right to some extent. The size difference didn't get better for me but I'm learning to accept it slowly.
I knew from the first week that mine would never be the same size because she took the same amount out of the two when one was so much bigger than the other. Yours might be swelling? but if it isn't just stick with it, you'll love them in a few months :)

I am 9 months post op.
My boobs kept changing for 6 months.
I .... like most ran to the store to by bras. ... never could do that before so.... Wel. .. had to give them away. Post op.... a 36C for 2 months. Than they went soft and settled down.... slooooowly. Ended up with 36D to 36E depending on the store.... so Beterschap patient and wait. ... or not, my bff was over the moon with the New bras ;)

The tape is off and bra size

K.rossb
So the tape is officially off and my left nipple is so sensitive! I hope it gets a little less sensitive but it doesn't bother me too much. I'm currently measuring at a 32DD or 30E. I don't really look that big but I have a small frame so my ribcage is 28 inches and over the fullest part of my breasts is 33/34 inches. I think the sideprofile picture shows how big the left breast is. I'm trying not to let bra sizes get me down though.
I'm going abroad next month with university so it'll be nice to actually wear a vest top for the first time :)

The size and shape overall go well with your frame. And incisions are looking good!
January 18, 2018
Can you have lipo on the bigger one?
January 21, 2018
Hey! Your results are looking great!! I just wanted to say that there is a good chance your breasts will even out in size. Mine were similar to yours where the left was larger than the right (my difference was even bigger if you look at my photos immediately after surgery). It took 3 months for mine to even out. At 2 weeks and 1 month and even 2 months I was convinced that my left boob would always be larger, but very gradually it became smaller! I still like the overall look of my right boob better (the nipple is slightly higher with less scarring around it right now and its slightly perkier). I know things will continue to change though. So don't lose hope that things will even out - even if you had the same amount removed from each side there are many factors that could cause one side to swell more than the other. Good luck with your healing!

Thank you!! I really appreciate this comment. I think they look a little more symmetrical this week which I'm happy about. You results look absolutely amazing!!
