Kinda worried

4 days post op,my partner will have to return to work. I will then HAVE to get three kids dressed for school and drive them to school which is literally a 2 min drive. I'm worried about dressing them and driving. Anyone else off Meds and okay to drive 4 days post op ??

Also anyone had to dress their kids alone 4 days post op?

Thanks so much

Hey there. I have 3 boys, the older two are 6 and 9, and they have dressed themselves...not sure if this is an option for you but my younger one I am able to do, he is 3, I just make him get up on the dining room table or Couch to do ,anything higher up for me. I was off meds by day 3/early day 4. Yesterday at 5 days post op I attempted to drive with my husband in the car, turns were a little harder, I took a couple too fast and my arms couldn't move fast enough lol so I recommend just driving slower. My kids school is also a couple minutes away, lucky us! But they don't start until the 30th. Good luck, you will be fine.

Thanks for the reply. Two eldest can't dress themselves so I guess I'll have to do it lol. Great idea about the dining table. Will do that. Thanks loads. Yes I'll take my time driving. I'll see how I feel by day 4. If I can't drive then I won't. I'll walk them xx

Walk if you can but leave extra time as they bounce around! You will be ok to dress them if you take your time - maybe make a game out of it to do it slowly like they are in slow motion or something!? I was ok to dress them after 3 days but keep your arms as close into your side as you can and reiterate to them not to touch Mummy!! Good luck ☺️
