Day 4

WORTH IT
On Day 2 & 3 I experienced itching but I took Benadryl and I’m feeling fine. The only downside is not being able to wear my jeans.

Hello it’s day 7 for me and I still have fluid and numbness on my left side. I know everyone is different but did you still have fluid? I’ve had 3 massages this week and the fluid retention is about the same. No itching.
I believe my fluid was gone by day 7
I would suggest to keep trying to get as much fluid out out as you can. I know it hurts. I had to have fluid aspiration since my incisions were healing quickly and I was getting pockets of fluid building up. My surgeon never mentioned lymphatic drainage. I’m now 12 weeks and aggressively trying to remove fibrosis. I keep getting told that the body will absorb, but push out as much as you can right now.
Thank you! My massage therapist told me to push it downwards as well, not helping. I’ve change to 3 garments and a board to see if that will make a difference. I’m having the fluid drained tomorrow. I have a few large pockets and a lot of smaller pockets of fluid. I’m 9 days post opp and the 3 massages I’ve had so far has not changed or helped anything. My incisions were healing by day 3. I’m still not experiencing itching, I guess because I’m still numb from the fluid my body is retaining.
Yes, make sure they keep aspirating. The fist time he took 60 cc’s, the following week, he got 100 cc’s, he went in at an angle and the nurse was manipulating it so he could get most of it. Also, I bought a hand held power massager with a flat head, after fluid is gone, I started to massage it to keep it from hardening. The board will help too. Hang in there. Everyday is better.
Did not think about a massager. I got a small paint roller, but will definitely go get me one. Thank you!!
How are you feeling? Do you like your results?
I really like my results. I’m still experiencing pain...... this is definitely a process.

Operation Get Snatched

My appointment with Dr. Hennessy was 4/29/2019.
My experience following up:
Consultation: We went over what I wanted and what Dr. Hennessy felt would give me great results. Overall it was quick because I had already did so much research that It didn’t feel the need to ask many questions.
Following up to my appointment: Maureen was absolutely helpful with getting my answers to questions I had.

Day of:
Sat with Maureen to go over how the day would go and then watch Netflix until Dr. Hennessy and is wonderful nurse was ready for me.

The nurse came and got me take my medicine , take photos, and my blood pressure. Afterwards I sat for a kitty while to allow the medicine to kick in.

I was then taken into the procedure room where Dr. Hennessy did his mark ups and explained how the day would go.

Getting Started: the initial numbing wasn’t bad. A little stinging but the nurse helped me through it.

The procedure: not painful but at times I could feel a little sting but once I let him know he added a little more solution. I watch a movie and listened to the music that he played during the procedure which was great.

Afterwards : I felt fine. Waited for my boyfriend to come get me and Left once he came up to get me.

Overall Opinion of Doctor and Staff: They were all great. Dr. Hennessy took his time to make sure he give you the desired hour glass. The nurse was also great and made sure you were comfortable at all times.

At home: Initially everything was fine. I laid Down but when I got up to eat I was a 10/10 in pain. So much that I started to sweat and thought I would pass out. Luckily I purchased Squeezed ( Squeezed online) juices which I used to substitute meal I couldn’t eat so I could take some medicine. My boyfriend helped me through all of this. Luckily my boyfriend is a hunter because he had no issue seeing and helping me change my pads. In the middle of the night i got up to walk a little. I was still not hungry so I ate crackers and used water to help me get it down so I could take my medicine. Woke up today feeling 6/10 and my boyfriend helped change my pads prior to him going to work.

Worst part of the process: the pain and the dressing change. This pain is not for the weak and I’m hanging through it all.

My follow up: May 6
1st massage: May 6 at 4:30 PM
Areas Done: full abdomen, flanks, bra strap
Pricing: Reasonable, do the free consultation to see how much it would be for you.
