I am a petite 41 year old mother of one. My daughter is 20 years old yet I still look like I am pregnant. I have wanted a TT for so long but I am finally in a place where I can do it and I am beyond excited. I just want to look and feel normal and be able to wear anything. Right now I have to buy baggy tops and leggings are my go to choice for pants. Even if I eat even the smallest meal I bloat and get so uncomfortable if I have don't have pants on that have elastic or stretch. I am just so uncomfortable in my body and I cant take it any longer. My surgery is still a couple weeks away and right now I am not that nervous, more exited than anything!

Your first two pictures clearly show you're going to have amazing results! You already have such a great start! I remember before my time we talk, it was so hard for me to see the potential that was hiding under my belly. Now that I have had it...it's so exciting for me to see women like you that have surgeries coming up! It's going to blow your mind! I had full TT/MR/lipo on flanks. It took all three to really pull it all together :). I can't wait to hear how it goes for you!!!

Thanks so much!!! I cannot wait either, i have dealt with "this" for so long that the freedom that will come with not having to hide it is something I can'T comprehend right now. To just slip into a normal sized tee and zip up actual jeans. ..oh my gosh...haha

I know just what you mean about wanting your clothes to fit right! My last child was born in 1981 which did a # on my belly! I'm a petite 59 yr old who inherited a little $ so I decided to get it done. I'm 1 month post surgery. It hasn't been easy (also had liposuction & fat transfer to buttocks). Some women breeze through the procedures, others like me..not so much. I wasn't prepared for the crying jags. I do feel better than I did last week. I hope you have a good experience!! Good luck!

When is your TT?? It's almost been 1 month and I can honestly say worth every dollar and every bit of back pain. I've had a couple down days, but in those moments just try to remember the "old"me and how far I've come in just a short time and how much better I feel physically and mentally. No regrets what so ever!

Its been crazy, its a long drawn out story but I am still pursuing it and hope it happens this year. Some hurdles and blocks or just bad timing.

One more step closer. I had my appointment this morning with my PCP for my physical and surgical clearance. I am sooooo of excited!! I just want to wear regular jeans again. I am still not sure what to tell my co-workers, they already think I am exaggerating when I mention my tummy area, but clothes hide alot!!! I only have 8 vacation days, my surgery is scheduled for a Wednesday so I have an extra 4 days with the weekends. I am nervous about having to return back to work and being still in pain and not being able to walk straight up so soon. Thank God I have a sit down job.
What, if anything did you all tell your co-workers???

My TT was on a Thursday and I took Friday off, worked remotely the following week (so thankful for that) then retuned the following Tuesday to my desk job. Uncomfortable as I was/am not walking straight up yet, but I made it. I told some of my close coworkers the truth. Others I just kept it generic - had a procedure. If they questioned more, I said it was a female thing. Lol

My surgery is scheduled for a Monday...and I'm returning in 2 weeks...I will work remotely on the 2nd week (if I can)...but I really hope I can be back in the office on day 15...if even for a little bit. I think I just have to play it by ear and see how I feel.

I don't have alot of wiggle room with my time off, thank goodness it's a sit down job at least.

How did it go with returning to work? I sit down also and I couldn't return to work for 6 weeks. And I was still uncomfortable with sitting and standing

Are you talking about the anti gravity chair? Google exactly that. It is great! I like mine, esp when my back is aching so bad. Or a reclining lift chair? If you rent one of those (rent a center is cheap to do that also btw!) make sure it actually reclines far enough. Mine barely did and so I never used it and rented it for two weeks and waiting on them to come get it. I use my electric reclining on my couch and the anti gravity chair as well. Two things that have been a life saver- walker and a 4" toilet seat riser. I use the walker to lean on once in awhile as walking to take stress of of back because of not being able to stand straight, back pain is so bad! The toilet seat riser ( 5'5.5") makes it so I barely have to squat down and it's easy to get up from. Perfect! Cheap on Amazon ($14). Also, do lots of squats and such to get legs in good shape. Mine were and are still and makes huge difference in using them to get up and down from. Hope some of this helps! I have a review that talks about this and other stuff you can read if you want as wells :)

Mine was 14.99 a week to rent and free delivery and pick up! Too bad it wasn't the more reclining one tho :/

I just used a regular recliner and that was enough for me.

I rented and electric reclining lift chair from a medical supply place. It reclined to almost flat for sleeping and then it lifted me out of the chair to almost a standing position. Literally deposited me onto the floor on my feet. It was a lifesaver. I paid $150 for the month, but only used it for 2 weeks, however, it was a lifesaver. I'm in Canada, so I don't know how much a rental like that would cost out of Canada. They are called lift recliners.
