Hope It’s Worth the Pain and Bruising!

Just had my first Potenza treatment 2 weeks ago on face and neck and my skin looks great now but it was extremely painful and the bruising in places was awful and lingered for over a week. Provider told me they’re noticing much more bruising than with other RF microneedling modalities for some reason. Had numbing cream for almost an hour prior as well but some areas were still EXTREMELY painful and they seemed to be the ones that bruised the worst (around the eyes, laugh lines, either side of mouth so painful and bruised). Anyone else had the same experience and why is it like this? Had Vivace treatments which is similar but no pain, no bruising. Is Potenza worth it??

I just had my first treatment 24 hours ago, and it wasn't as painful. laugh lines were more more, but still very tolerable. My face looks a little bit lift.
That’s awesome that it wasn’t bad for you. Are you doing a series of them and how many? Just curious what your practicioner is recommending—
Have had two treatments so far a month apart last one two weeks ago...I see no difference and honesty feel my face looks worse instead of better. I have one more session so I will just hope maybe after that one I will see some improvement ..a lot of money to spend for little or no improvement....
Mine wasn’t too painful just around mouth but my pain tolerance is high
I’ve had one treatment so far (almost two weeks ago) and it was painful but tolerable. I had a lot of swelling but no bruising. I’m noticing that my skin is itchy. I did it on my neck, chest, and lower face. I can actually see a slight difference on my neck- it does not look as crepey. But the results are slight and I’m hoping I see a lot more after my second treatment. I bought a series of three, and doing them one month apart.
So glad to see others commenting on this technology. I’ve done two full face/neck treatments so far but a lot of bruising on each one, second time I had a black eye (under eye, upper cheek area) for more than 2 weeks and didn’t really see any results the 2nd time so not sure I’m going to do any more. Provider is very experienced but they charge $1,600 for full face/neck and feeling like it’s not worth that with all the bruising which equals downtime and not really seeing documentable changes. I’ve got realistic expectations and understand this won’t give what a more invasive lift would give but you need to see something for all the $’s, downtime, pain, bruising and just not seeing it so far.
I’m paying $1700 for neck, chest and lower face. I agree, it’s a lot of money. I just turned 50 and I’m contemplating a lower facelift as well.... I’m going to see what happens after treatment two.
Hi. I did my abdomen 8 days ago. It still has the checkerboard pattern of erythema evident and definitely itches starting day 3. Also 2 bruises present but no biggie since no one sees it but me. Did my face and décolleté 2 days ago. I wanted a very aggressive setting on my abdomen. I did numb as well. It was tolerable but towards the end I was ready to be done. My décolleté was not bad at all. I also went as aggressive as possible. My face on the other hand was not a pleasant experience but tolerable. I think next time I’ll leave the numbing cream on and have them remove it in sections. I felt my forehead wasn’t numb enough by the time she got to it. I was a bit puffy the next day but not bad. I went to work and I don’t think anyone would have noticed. My face did get hot under these stupid masks so if you have to wear a mask at work all day you might want to time your treatment where the day after you don’t have to wear a mask. I don’t see any bruising so far in these areas. I’m a bit red and you can see the imprint of the needles in the right lighting. Again no biggie. I will do 2 more treatments as suggested. We have to remember that collagen and elastin production don’t happen overnight so we won’t see our full results until a few months after our 3rd treatment. I’m excited to see what it can do!! I should probably do a review myself so I can post some pics but I also don’t want to write this all out again
