Finally wounds healing
After six long months my wounds seem to be finally healing. The pain has gone when I chew yawn although still slight discomfort at certain mouth movements but I can lay on the side of my face now.

That is wonderful. It can only keep getting better I think. You have been so brave.
I did not think I could face a revision. But I did it and it turned out even better than I expected. My scars improved enormously. I read they could be worse but I was not doing it to improve the scars. That was just an added benefit. I felt I desired that bit of good luck after the long recovery I had.
Give it another six months. It's not over yet.
How long after did you have your revision x
13 months. For whatever reason after my long recovery I still had loose skin under my chin. So my PS tightened it. It required reopening along the same scar lines behind my ears so he redid the scars around my earlobes all the way up. As a result a lot of white scar tissue that showed around my lobes was removed.
What a nightmare, your fortitude is inspiring. Mr mellor?? Plastic surgeon who performed the work, can't find him here. Is he well reviewed here on Realself?.
No he’s not on here at all x
What's the Doctors track record?? I wouldn't let the guy trim my mustache...
How is the paralysis? Have you regain full movement of your face? Hope all is continuing to resolve for you!
No unfortunately have not regained full use of my face yet and still got s crooked smile
I've been following your progress for awhile and am so glad to see that your paralysis and wounds are healing. May I suggest - if you do decide to have revision surgery - that you consider other surgeons? Here's sending a big hug your way. You're a warrior!
Hi Louie,
How is it going? Would you say your face is 95 percent back from nerve damage? I have read where some are asking about a revision. Were you thinking about a revision?

Sending you prayers to you my friend. I haven’t read your whole review and I’m sure your tired but Im wondering if you can consult online with another dr like Dr klebuc in Texas. Look him up I’m sure they’re others like him closer to you.
I feel so sorry for you. It seems so strange that your stitches got rejected and those areas will not heal. So much seems to have gone wrong for you. I had a bad time too but certainly not as bad as you. The body is a marvelous yet still somewhat mysterious thing and I can only hope as you continue to heal things will improve.
Hi Louie just wondering with the not healing part, should you contact your regular doc for a checkup. Is it possible there could be an issue with your body not allowing you to heal properly? Hope this is getting better....
I’m seeing he surgeon every two days I can t see it but thy have said it’s not s deep now so they ar puttng silver nitrate on it and it’s getting smaller but it ha healed up and burst open before so I’m hoping I’m on the final stretch of this journey
Thats a good idea Mag58. get some blood work done and make sure your ok overall. like Irish day the body can be an amazing healer. sending prayers you way! keep strong!
Hi my friend, I just wrote a comment a few minutes ago, but I didn’t see your last pictures at that point. Sorry that you still suffering. I had this same problem after my tummy tuck surgery and I end it 2 holes, I when back to my plastic surgeon but he didn’t do much about it, so I decided to see a wound care specialist and he saved me! ( Thanks Dr. Carlos Wade and his team in Texas). He gave me promogram prisma to put first and on the top the aquacel Ag and I saw the results in only 3 days!!!! He told me to clean my wounds only with saline water before putting everything and keep them seal with bandages. Maybe you should try it and see if works for you, cuz it really works or me
Hi thank you any help I’m happy to take I’m having dressing done every two days with aqua Cell and sealed with duoderm. Finally it’s beginning to heal x
