WORTH IT
Have been thinking about this for years, finally went to a few Drs for consultations. Approved by insurance for reduction and lift. Surgery set for December 17th. I'm so scared of the recovery, pain, looks, etc. wondering if it really worth it?? Have neck and back pain all the time and so tired of my boobs being so large hard to feel/look good and they are so saggy and uneven. I'm a 36DD now depending on bra. So much great advice on here not sure which bra to get after, how to sleep on my back, etc...

Congrats on your decision hfergu. I had similar fears about recovery pain but it hasn't been that bad. I was able to ween myself of the pain medication within days of surgery. My advise would be to take care of yourself and home before surgery so that you can limit pushing your body while healing. Best of luck.

I'm 44 years old 36DD going for the reduction/lift on Nov. 17. I'm so excited. My primary care doctor was really positive and supportive about it. She says she knows several woman who have done it and they are all very happy. Plus it reduces the risk of breast cancer ( less tissue - less risk).

So just found out from Drs office my ins says min 460g to remove from each breast which would hopefully take me to a small C. Ugh I don't want to end up being too small or a B cup. They can't say for sure. I go see dr on Dec 2nd to do post op appt and I'll talk to him. Anyone about by size have same amount removed?? I wants smaller and lift but don't want to end up sorry going too small...

Did you have your surgery? Mine was on dec 15. Same size DD as you and same time. Are you happy?
