WORTH IT$650
I have always felt meeehhh about my top lip. It had a gorgeous shape, a perfect Cupid's bow, and nice proportions... It was just super small! I started researching products and options on and off for the last year. I did a lot of lip liner drawing on which made me content enough but honestly who has time for that all the time? I finally took the plunge yesterday. I decided this year I'm living for me. I don't want to give a full review until it's been the 2 weeks with follow up. As of right now though I am pleased. I saw Dr. Loyo and she was great. I liked the idea of having a real board certified plastic surgeon doing my lips. She works at the hospital my bachelors program is connected too. She was super responsive and friendly! I'll review her and the in office experience more below. Attached are my before photos!

Getting injected Day 1 and Day 2
MissxPrissMarch 3, 2017
Okay so I got checked in and then the medical assistant took me back to the office. She was nice. She asked a few medical background questions and then went to get the doctor. The doctor consulted with me. She recommended Volbella when I explained the results I was wanting... But I was pretty sure from the before/-afters I saw online that wasn't the product for me. I wanted the Juvederm Ultra Plus. 1 syringe. She said they'd look like Kylie Jenner lips that way ???? I didn't think so... But then she said we could also stop and use the rest of the Juvderm in another area if it started to appear like it would be too much. So we went with the Ultra Plus. She said it was the smoothest choice for sure which was important to me because I didn't want it to "feel" like I had lip injections. I wanted to keep the overall proportions of my lips. My cute pout. My Cupid's bow. She a slight enlargement. And normal feel.
So the MA came back in and put the lidocaine numbing cream on my lips. Omg my tongue started to lose feeling ???????????? it was the funniest feeling. But I wasn't mad that told me it was working. After about 15-20 minutes I went back for photos. Dr. Loyo also consulted with me about a few other things. She was VERY HELPFUL, and enthusiastic! And so informative! I loved it!
So after that it's injection time. Boy let me to tell you she came at me with the needle and I turned my head away so fast. My friend who came started laughing so hard. We all did. And then I really had to pull it together. Lord I was nervous but the doctor that time, she didn't pressure me at all. She was really patient. So after about 3 minutes she went again and I didn't jump. All I could think was OMG this is really happening... Lip injections! Wow!!!!
It hurt a little. But not intolerable. I did not get or feel like I needed the dental block. I held my friends hand. She said I didn't squeeze that hard at all. I remember looking at them midway through like mehhh maybe I should have got the volbella. But then they grew on me quick. She put the last .2 cc split between my smile lines. OHSU won't let them save leftover Juvederm. You either use it or lose it. For 650 we were using every drop lol. She also massaged them just a little after. She massaging with this product isn't really necessary as it tends to settle and smooth it's self over the next couple weeks. But if I wanted to I could.
Dr. Loyo seemed very pleased with the initial look she said she felt like I definitely made the right choice pushing for the Juvederm Ultra over the Volbella. She warned me they will swell for the next few days. And that full results likely won't be seen for 1-2 weeks. She also said in the next couple hours my lip line would be all over the place and it's normal so not to panic. She asked if I had any more questions, we had already went over aftercare... So I didn't. She said I should make an appointment to be seen 2 weeks out for a follow up. I thanked her we said our good byes. The MA gave me water to rinse my mouth. I paid and we left. Oh they gave me an ice pack.
Note: OHSU does not take Care Credit. You're paying out of pocket if you go there.
Main after care: ice! No nsaids.
30 minutes later. Well the lip line was all over the place and my lips seemed HUGE. An 1 hour later. Lidocaine started wearing off and they started to feel painful. I went home switched out iced packs and went to take a nap. I woke up with slight bruising and huge duck lips. All I could think was omg what is this!? It was awful.
I did some googling and researching on here. Even though I was warned of this I was freaked out. I went and bought Arnica Cream and iced some more. The next morning still horrible. I did more cream and ice. Because I'm a night owl I went back to sleep for a few hours. I woke up and it was like a miracle my top lip was now slightly smaller than the bottom again. Thank God! I was thinking I was going to have to go get the enzyme! ???????? I was like okay this really is just swelling I'm dealing with. I continued icing and using the arnica cream throughout the day. By the evening and at work I decided I was happy with my results thus far. So bam I started the review process.
Note: there were a few lumps I felt and though Dr. Loyo said it wasn't necessary from what I read on here I chose to massage them. Today is day 2 and I feel no lumps.
I didn't take any photos during the wtf these are horrible stage. Well one but you really can't tell because I have my finger smashing them down

Day 2 pics
MissxPrissMarch 3, 2017
So these were 16 hours after injections. Screenshots from a video I took I took since I don't think I can upload the video. The app isn't giving me the option. As you can see at this point swelling went down significantly. My Cupid's bow is the same. The proportions really were the same as pre- injections and they really were just a bit bigger. When I saw this I was in love ???????? they did swell back up later but I was like if that's what they're going to be that's perfect!!!!!! It's just subtle enough for me. They were still and are still bruised. I haven't done any pics yet today though. I am pointing at the worst bruise in one of the screenshots.
Excuse the lack of makeup.
