Four week update.
WORTH IT$4,201
These are my photos four weeks after procedure (with before photos also.) It's hard to capture the same lighting, but I think you can see the improvement. I still have red/brown patches but I'm pleased with the result. According to some reports it's supposed to get even better over the next few months.

J-Plasma Aka Renuvion
I’m reviewing J-Plasma resurfacing of the face. Which is a procedure that uses Helium Plasma. This is a fairly new procedure and it’s confusing because it’s called J-Plasma, and also called Renuvion. The technology is used for skin resurfacing, and also used for sub-dermal skin tightening. Real Self doesn’t even have it listed as a treatment yet. So hopefully this will reach those of you who are researching this procedure. (And hopefully Bovie Medical, the makers of the equipment used, will realize they really need to better define their products.)
I had my J-Plasma resurfacing done on 9/6/18. After having considered both a deep Phenol peel and fully ablative laser resurfacing. I decided on J-Plasma because it was half the cost of the Phenol peel in my area, and the reviews and photos were showing it to produce better results than fully ablative laser.
My doctor did the procedure under general anesthesia. The information I gathered online was that most doctors do the procedure under local anesthetic. Since my doctor was only one of two doctors in my area that did the procedure, I didn’t have much choice.
I’m an information junky, and tried to gather as much information about this procedure as possible before and after making my decision. Since the procedure is fairly new, that info was limited. I truly appreciate it when others are generous enough to share their experiences, so here’s my daily account of what it was like. I took these photos with my cell phone and the sometimes the angle distorted the proportions.)
(I've rated the procedure as "Not sure" only because I still have swelling and I can't yet tell what the final result will be.)

Yours seems to be healing textbook perfectly, yay! It gets better every day. Can you share a before pic?

You look really great! I didn't realize the procedure was so painful. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Wow! You really look amazing! So happy for you! I, too, have been researching like crazy the fully ablative laser vs. the Hetter (modified phenol) Peel, and the Hetter Peel wins hands-down for wrinkles around the mouth, my biggest problem in my opinion. But I didn't know Renuvion could do this as well--with little redness as compared to a deeper peel, it seems! Wish I lived near Fyou--I am in So Fla. Your mouth and chin area looks beautiful! Thanks so much for posting. Are the results supposed to be as long lasting as the peel?

My experience so far: I didn't get any sun exposure for the first 2 1/2 weeks after the procedure. Then I don't think I was as careful about the sun as I should have been. I was diligent about using sunblock, but I really should have worn a hat also, when I was in the sun. As the over all redness subsided I still had patches of red/darker skin. It could have been just a part of the healing process or it might have been from sun exposure. Don't know. I started using a hydroquinone/retin A product about 3 weeks ago and things have improved greatly. I will say this - my skin is super fragile. Any slight abrasion will leave a red mark. I've gotten used to it, and am extremely careful about anything that touches my face now.
