Hello all! I can't begin to describe how much this sight has helped me during me 6 week wait for explant. Just had procedure yesterday and so far so very good. Quite a bit of pain, pain pills making me itchy, but super happy it's done. I am wrapped with drains 4 more days so no after pics yet.
Have before pic now. More to come.
Oh, Dr. Busby, the Oregon clinic. He's great!

I agree, this site had been a wonderful place while I await explant (this Wednesday, 11/16)! Hope you're feeling better soon. Keep us updated. xoxo

Congrats girl! Welcome to Tue other side. I agree - this site has been super helpful. Take it easy - get lots of rest and take great care of you. You're going to feel so amazing!

Congratulations. You are very brave. Did you go under general? It seems that is the preferred method of plastic surgeons. What pain meds cause itching. I have taken Percocet and found it to be a smooth ride. I hope you have someone to help you. I am looking at explanating in December. I am really scared. Wishing you a speedy recovery and total love for your real self.

Yes I went under general. It seems that when they do capsulectomy it's necessary, when they leave capsule in its much less invasive. I took oxy. It made me itch like Vicodin used to. Off that now and using Tylenol 3. You will do great. Hardest part is telling people before, at least for me, and staying down after! The anticipation is waayyy worse than actual event! I love being natural again. Very trippy, boobs feel like mush... but they perk more every day. Kinda fun, like watching a seed sprout!

That is so cute.... sprouting seeds. I am so glad you are happy and especially that you have great sensation. Further loss of sensation is one of my biggest concerns. And the look of bewilderment by my community. I live in a very small town. Did you have health issues? Or were you just over the whole big boob thing? I have no health issues and just want them out before I have a problem, but I have seen 3 plastic surgeons in my area and all 3 say I do not need a capsulectomy and recommend against it. I too have had my implants 19 years, but I still remember that my natural breasts felt like mush. I think natural breasts, at least after age 30, feel like that. Keep up your great attitude and humor!

Welcome, and thank you for sharing your story. Congratulations! I hope the itching eases soon, and can't wait to see your photos once your drains are removed. Did you have a general anesthetic?

Yes general, and thank you!

Looks great so far! I am hoping not to get a lift either. Congratulations!!
November 18, 2016
Ya my doc recommended no lift, which is one reason I chose him. He had my best interest in mind, not more money for him as his top priority. Time will tell. I've given myself permission to get a lift next year if I want. But the way things are going, I don't think I'll want one. They are healing wonderfully. And if I have a child ( if I'm able to finally carry one) this next year, they will be ruined again anyway so whatevs.(-;

They look great! Have they progressed even more? It's been a couple months since the last photo so just wondering. I have a ton of the same health things you mentioned. Have you been feeling better?
