I've been thinking about BA for 15 years. Not...

I've been thinking about BA for 15 years. Not until the last couple months did I decide to meet with surgeons in the area.
I met with one in March. She was nice but I didn't feel 100% sure so I met with her again. I reiterated my concerns about being very muscular, not wanting my pectoralis strength or integrity to be jeopardized and ask her about subglandular implants. She referred me to two other surgeons.
So I met with Dr. DeMars a couple weeks later. He immediately put me at ease, knew what I wanted and seemed to be able to do it. I booked for May 5 later that day which was his next available surgery date.
We decided on natrelle 410s subglandular. The size is yet to be determined but I believe the biggest is 275 or 290?
Like most of you I'm boob obsessed and can't stay off sites looking at boobs and reviews. I came across a question a woman had, she is somewhat similar to me in fitness and concerns. My surgeon replied. His answer was the exact opposite of what he told me. So i freaked. I called the office and am going in today (april 28) to talk to him about it and ask 100 more questions. I need my mind to be put at ease again.
I have not found anyone who is my stature and build on any forum or site so I hope this helps someone else out there.
After my appointment today I'll update.
Here's a pic of my boy boobs! Haha

Hi, I have just had my op this week but haven't posted my review, though I have found this site useful. Though I'm prob not exactly your build I do go to the gym a lot and entered my first bikini comp in April so I'm prob similar to you. The gym has been kind to my body but not my boobs so that is why I've had the surgery as I had nothing left (particularly at the end of my comp prep). I wanted a natural look and decided to opt for smaller rather than bigger as feel this is more me. I've had 295cc in one and 330cc in the other (due to size difference). My implants are mentor, teardrop and I've had them under the muscle. I'm on day 4 post op now and have had quite a lot of post op pain (not unmanageable though) but the surgeon said my chest muscle were really strong so I guess fitting the implants may have been more difficult which is why I'm so sore. The worst part for me at the moment is not being in the gym as I've been told no weightlifting for 6 weeks. I'm hoping to do a bit of light cardio towards the end of next week and will try lower body before 6 weeks is up.

Congratulations! How exciting to have surgery complete. Thank you for replying. I am curious about your review. Will you complete it soon?

It looks like the size you went with is similar to mine. My implants are also anatomical. and after meeting with my surgeon again, the sizes range from 235-310. But I think 235 will be too small.

I am hoping that going over my pain will be much less than the pain of going under the muscle. Now that you are finished do you have any suggestions for me as far as the day before, night before, morning of, what to take with me, what to have ready at home? I appreciate any advice you can give. THANKS!!!

I will def compete again as I loved it.
The hospital will deal with most of the things you need but here are a few things that helped me:
Loose clothing - you underestimate how Difficult it is to get dressed. Anything that is tight fitting or goes on over your head is difficult for a few days.
Make sure you have some laxatives at home - depending on what meds you are given depends if you end up bunged up, so be prepared (I currently look pregnant)
You sound like you're prob obsetabout gym and food (like me) so make sure your fridge is stocked with good, easy to make nutritious food.
That's really all I can advise as part from eating, taking pills and sleeping there isn't much else to do for a few days.

So I saw my surgeon again today. I had a ton of questions. All of which he answered. He again made me feel at ease. Because of my questions we went over different options for my implants but in the end decided on Natrelle FM 410s. The size will range from 235-310. I'm thinking the middle (270?) might be best. Now that I'm home I'm wondering if an MM would be better. I don't have much time to make changes though. He also decide that with my build and thickly developed pectoral muscles my implant will be placed subglandular. OVERS kinda make me happy for hopefully an easier, less painful recovery.

What are the post op necessities?

CFDDGM
I see all sorts of pics of "things" needed for comfort post op. What do I need? Does anyone have a suggestion for helping with the post surgery bloat and constipation?
