2 weeks post op

Reading my initial post is funny- clearly I was groggy from the anesthesia and drugs haha!
At two weeks post op I feel pretty good. Still a little sore but it's not constant and I even forget about them at times. I had my surgery on a Monday and that following Saturday I needed to go into work for a little bit and I managed fine. By the following Monday I was really in pretty good shape and went into work for a few hours and really felt totally fine. At two weeks it's more just little pains here and there, still sore at night while sleeping but in general I feel back to normal.
A few things to share from my experience for anyone preparing for surgery- I felt pretty good the day of surgery and even the second day. The third day was by far the worst and it was mainly because of water retention. I retained over 15lbs of fluid and I felt so uncomfortable and weird. That day I felt so foggy so I switched to just Tylenol trying to just feel normal. By day 5 most of the water weight was gone and I felt more normal. The emotional roller coaster is real and you need to be prepared for it- one minute I felt like they were way too big and then the next I loved them just how they were and I was worried they'd be too small once the swelling went down- just be prepared for that and laugh at yourself!
I had read another reviewer say to increase your core strength before surgery and I completely agree. You need your abs more than ever after surgery. I also kicked my workouts up a notch before surgery and really tried to up my cardio and strength training as much as possible beforehand. I am so glad I did because taking this much time off working out is not awesome and I'm glad I had lost a few lbs before surgery, I feel like it gave me a little wiggle room after surgery.
As far as my new boobs- I love them!! They looked amazing the day I came home and they just keep getting better. I do have some bruising still but even with the bruises they look great. I have hips and a booty and now my breasts look proportional and actually make my waist and hips look smaller. I was worried with 500cc I would be all boobs but they really are perfect. I have always had wide breasts and I think the key with size selection is basing it off your BWD, I have wide breasts so I could handle the larger implant. I was worried my areoles would get stretched out and so far that hasn't happened, if anything they appear smaller or more proportioned with my larger breasts so I'm very happy about that. Also wearing rice sizers around my house and trying on all different types of tops beforehand really helps. I had also bought super duper padded bras a year ago to see if I liked having bigger boobs and I really think that helped get me used it and made the transition not that bad.
I have hired a cleaning lady to come once a week and that has been extremely helpful and worth every penny!
Hope some of this info is helpful :)

Before and after pic taken day of surgery

Before and first day after pics. Even though they're swollen I can tell they'll be perfect!

I always had shallow breasts and always wished for...

I always had shallow breasts and always wished for more fullness. I always knew I'd want to get breast augmentation after having kids. After nursing two little ones my breasts were flat pancakes! I researched for over a year and I finally had my procedure yesterday!
I am 5'6" 135/140lbs and my btw is 13.5. Wanted to be nice and full and round after. I didn't want to be all boobs but if I was spending this kind of money I wanted to make sure I went big enough. Because of my BWD my Dr said the range of 425-525cc would be appropriate. I went back and forth over the decision but after my final pre op appointment and doing the sizers again I felt confident in 500cc moderate plus profile, smooth round silicone. What made me nervous was whenever I told someone I was going with 500cc their jaws hit the floor lol. Most people seem to be in the 300-400 range. I have two girlfriends who both got them in the high 400's and they looked very proportional, I had to remind myself not to compare to others and trust my Dr and my measurements.
I had my surgery less than 24 hours ago and I'm already super happy. They are super swollen but I can tell they will be the perfect size once they go down. They are not too big at all. I have been icing a ton and drinking lots of water and I think that has really helped, I feel really pretty good. I slept in a recliner chair last night and didn't feel horrible this morning. It is painful but it's not unbearable with the muscle relaxer and narcotics, I am taking minimal amounts. I am most surprised at my range of motion with my arms, I can move them all around. I read about people being on an emotional roller coaster and having regrets. I think because I was aware that can happen I've been able to keep my emotions in check. I also did a ton of research and tried to find before pics that looked like mine and women with similar dimensions as me. I tried to have extremely realistic expectations and that has helped a lot.
So far this has been a great experience and I'd say smooth healing so far, let's hope it stays that way.
Other people's reviews were so helpful in making my decision and giving me realistic expectations- thanks!
