In October 2016 I got a tattoo that I immediately regretted and looked at removal right away. I got 5 sessions (starting in February 2017) starting with a Q-switch laser, which I picked because it was the cheapest option. I felt I was misled, as they told me it would only take 5-6 sessions and they did treatments after only 5 weeks. After doing more research I learned Pico was much more effective and a newer technology for removing tattoos, specifically black ones. I had my first pico treatment in September 2017 and will need to wait 12 weeks for the next session. I wanted to track my progress here and get support from the community. Like many of you I have felt so much anxiety about the tattoo and the removal. Will it ever really be removed?! Will I have scars from the blister?! What a horrible mistake, but right now I am hopeful the tattoo will be entirely removed by summer 2018.

2 months after 1st pico treatment (6th treatment total)

This is from 2 months after my Pico treatment. I have now had 6 total treatments, the first 5 through q-switch. I will be getting my next Pico appointment in early December 2017

I'm Struggling Ya'll (7th total session)

A few days ago I had my 7th removal session (second one using Pico). The nurse was pretty disappointed with my progress over the 3 months. There was some faint fading, but the darker ink really isn't budging. She was expecting the mountain to be completely gone but it is still there. Because she thinks there is dark green in the trees (and maybe other parts), she tried using their other Pico laser (I forget the exact name) but it is the one that targets dark greens, blues and purples. She says some people have more of a reaction from the Pico Black and some from this other Pico one. I am REALLY hoping to see some more progress this time around. The picture is all gross and blistery because it was just a few days ago and its a blurry picture. I will update in a few weeks once the skin is healed.
Anyway, I am feeling really discouraged. Will it ever really go away? I had such dense black ink I am skeptical. Thoughts and feedback would be much appreciated cus I am stressing <3
