One week post op left breast revision

I saw my doc this week. We went over a few concerns I had. During the week, I would lie down for a nap and when getting up, I would hear this gushing sound from my left breast. This freaked me out! It sounded like when u drink water from a water bottle. The air bubbles make a sound... that's the sound. That's never happened to me so it was definitely a concern. My surgeon told me that was normal. It's air bubbles in the breast during healing and that it will go away. I also told him that my left breast now look lower and bigger than my right. He assured me the the implants are leveled at the top and that the difference in size is really more of the swelling than anything else. The swelling should resolve in about another month or so. I also still have swelling in the belly and am retaining a lot of waster still. I don't have to wear the strap anymore, but must continue to wear the bra for a few more weeks. I can also return to lower body exercises. As, u can see from the pics, I have a blister filled with blood in the left breast. My surgeon told me this is from irritation from the surgical tape that was there. This should go away soon too.

Guess What? Another capsular contracture!

... this time in my left breast! Ugh!!!! This is now the third surgery for this procedure. First time was my BA, then a revision to the right breast and now a revision to the left breast. I have to admit, my breasts always looked higher than they should and I still think my right breast somewhat does look a little high, in my opinion (at least now after that left breast revision). Anyway, my left breast started feeling tight and hard. When I would lay down (on my back or tummy), it was pretty uncomfortable. I could live with it if I had to, but uncomfortable. I never had pain, just discomfort. I finally went back to my surgeon and he confirmed that it was a CC. I scheduled a revision surgery and today it is Day 2 post op revision to the left breast. Recovery is going well! This time I only needed meds at night time for the last 2 nights. I'm not sure if this time the scar tissue was more or worse than my right breast because I actually needed meds for 2 nights. I have a post op visit in a few days. I will be posting pics and another update then.

I met with a couple of surgeons. My husband and I knew Dr. DeMars was the right choice the day we met with him. He first examined me. He told me things about my body that I didn't even know. I had had a hernia repair the previous year. I expressed my concerns about a reoccurrence. He immediately told me that he would fix it if that was the case. That made me feel so much better. Dr. DeMars was caring, sincere and knowledgable. He did not lead me to have false expectations and he did not try to sell me procedures I didn't need (another surgeon had told me I needed a lift, when I really didn't need it). Dr. DeMars took the time to answer my questions. I didn't feel rushed. He was very professional and so was his staff. The wait time was always great. I never had to sit there forever. And when I've called, he's called me back right away. I know I still have a little more ways to go for the final outcome, but so far I am very pleased with the results... I am loving my new body. Thank you Dr. DeMars!
