WORTH IT
I went to Dr Ash initially via a referral from a friend. I wanted some cosmetic dentistry. My friend was an existing patient of Dr Ash and spoke very highly of him. I wanted to get some composite veneers. I met with Dr Ash and we discussed my case. It was very tricky as I am missing a tooth (lateral incisor). So to get the desired result we had to convert one of my canine teeth to an incisor and work our way backwards to get a balanced smile. Dr Ash told me that it would not be a quick process and we did have some hurdles along the way. I had gotten composite veneers about 20 years earlier and now I had gum recession and the old veneers were beginning to chip and discolor.
Eventually, we decided that the best course of action was porcelain veneers as they were more likely to achieve the result I desired. Dr Ash took me to his master ceramicist Uri Yarovesky at Opus One dental labs. Uri is a true artist when it comes to teeth. At no point did I want to look like my teeth were fake. I wanted a very natural looking smile. I met with Uri multiple times and we workshopped the look I was going for. Dr Ash came with me on the first visit to make the introduction to Uri and so that we were all on the same page with the results I was after.
One concern I had prior to the veneers, was how much tooth would be removed when they were being prepped. But I didn’t need to be concerned. Dr. Ash was very conservative with his prep work and did an amazing job. Uri made an incredible set of veneers (9 veneers to look like 10 as I am missing the tooth). I am now one week out of having them placed. The procedure was relatively painless and a huge success. I had anesthetic injections during the procedure to numb my top gum line as I have very sensitive canine teeth. From the time the teeth are prepped until the veneers are placed was about 2 weeks. During that period while the veneers are being hand crafted, I was in temporary veneers (made of silican I think). They were very comfortable and no-one knew they were temporaries.
Now that I have my veneers placed, the result is quite astounding and I’m so happy. The teeth are absolutely beautiful, Thanks to Uri and Dr Ash, the veneers were better than I could have hoped for.
I want to re-iterate that I am an incredibly particular person and had very specific expectations with what I was after. Dr. Ash’s patience with my needs and his professional attitude was exemplary. I’m so happy that I chose to work with him on my smile - I had done a huge amount of research in the lead up to getting work done and it certainly paid off. I would definitely recommend him to any of my friends who are after cosmetic dentistry. Or even general dentistry. And his dental rooms are very futuristic, classy and comfortable.
I also had a cleaning, gum check and zoom whiting (great price for new customers), to make sure I had the whitest natural shade before I got the veneers made.
Tiffany and Terra are the lovely girls on the front desk. All the other staff I worked with were top notch and a pleasure to be around.
Thanks so much Dr. Ash for what you have done for me. It sincerely means so much and has boosted my confidence immensly. Not to mention given me a killer smile!
