Veneer Nightmare

Veneer Nightmare

I would like to share my 2 year long nightmare experience with my veneers. In 2021 initially for composite veneers, but got porcelain based on his recommendation. A week after installation a veneer fell out while eating eggs. The second week the same veneer fell out while eating yams. The third week the same veneer fell out a third time while eating a breadstick. In early August, 3 veneers fell out in a weekend. During my trip to Colombia, a veneer fell out while eating pancakes and was irreparable. When I arrived home, he replaced the veneer. In less than 72 hours the same veneer fell out again while eating pancakes. While in Mexico 2 veneers fell out; one while eating sautéed onions and another while drinking water. I've had several more occasions where a veneer has fallen out. On a separate occasion, one fell out while I wasn't eating or drinking anything. I've had approximately
20-25 or more dentist visits to repair his work. Based on the professional opinion of two local dentists, I should undergo the full smile makeover again.
This has caused embarrassment, humiliation, and emotional/ mental anguish. I regularly experience debilitating pain, extreme tooth sensitivity, and I can't eat on one side sometimes. At times. I'm afraid to eat or drink. In fact, I lost 5 pounds in a week because I was nervous to eat or drink. This has affected my social, professional, and personal life. Case in point, for my new business venture debut, I participated in a pop up shop. A veneer fell out while brushing my teeth that morning. During the actual event a veneer fell out. After the event at my celebration dinner, a veneer fell out. Based on the estimates I've received for new treatment, it will cost $30,000-40,000.
I am traumatized, devastated, and in utter agony.
In the picture shows 16 times a veneer has came out. There are at least a dozen more but they couldn’t fit in the collage. I resent these veneers. Today I was driving to Atlanta to see my dear friend who has cancer before his surgery in August. While eating a breakfast burrito the veneer came out. I was forced to drive back home due to the extreme pain I was. A lot of times I’ve experienced these issues on the weekend and can’t get an appointment to days later. This has affected my quality of life. I’m depressed and miserable. 2 of my crowns came off and the dentist who recement them back on said there is barely tooth structure there which can be clearly seen in the pictures.
Any advice anyone?
I want list the name of the dentist for legal purposes, but I can say he’s located in Memphis, Tn. Also, the veneers were installed 6/2021.

Go to Mexico. It's a lot cheaper. I don't have veneers but I went to Cancun dental. I saw a girl who got a full set there though and they looked natural. I know the work come with a 7 year warranty

I had 6 veneers and 2 crowns placed in 2021. I lost 1 front crown and 1 veneer in less than a year. My veneers are too large for my face and frame. Every day I'm afraid I will lose another. I lost my crown while eating oatmeal and my veneer came off while drinking a smoothie. My bite is off and my teeth hit hard. I live in fear that It's just a matter of time before I lose another. And you're right, always a weekend, hiloliday or after hours.
I wish you good luck finding a qualified specialist.

Thank you so much. I wish you well in finding a new dentist, too. I hope pretty soon we don’t have to be crippled with fear by the thought of a veneer coming off and newly done veneers. It’s agony and beyond stressful living like this.

Its so bad, I carry a kit in my purse to temp glue these teeth back on and I have a clear nightguard to hold my other teeth in place after the next one falls off. It will happen again at the worse possible moment. I paid 12,000 for this mess. Mine are porcelain.
My ex dentist gave me a pill to relax me and i have no memory of the event and had i not taken the drug and been more alert, i would hsve rejected these things. I have an over bite and my front crowns are rough, scratchy and have groves in them. Seems from the photos I've have viewed, cosmetic dentists have a "one size fits all" looking veneers. My ex cosmetic dentist was labled "top doc" for several years.. drives a new Porsche energy car, doesn't have a dentist to fill in for him for emergencies on nights, cweekends, holidays or vacations. He will tell you he loves has coverage when you fist stsrt seeing him. You will find out quickly how little he cares about his patients when he's on his own time. He also had the nerve to charge me to put a venerr and crown on after they had been on forcless than 7 months.
I found out top doc awards are handed my voted from staff and patients. I was asked to vote as many times as I wanted, no limit. So my advice to anyone reading this, don't be fooled by top doc awards or the dentist/doctors website reviews. Look outside the box for other reviews . I wish you well. I hope you get a new make over free, and something for your anguish. It's a horrible feeling to walk around with missing teeth.

I'm sorry about the typos, it's 2 am and I'm not quite awake.

I just came to say I am so sorry and I can really relate to dental trauma and humiliation. I am researching veneers vs crowns and both look equally awful
