FIRST TRIP-
THE NIGHT BEFORE: when I texted to confirm pick up the Dr did not even know I was coming the following day. Even though I had continuously send him my flight info. Update:He does have a assistant now and she is helpful.FIRST DAY I ARRIVED - it was not like the video where a driver picks you up and his holding a sign etc, I waited for more than 45 minutes for the driver , no one was there to pick me up. I continuously texted the driver and the Dr and then he got in contact with driver. Met the driver and I have to say he was really nice with a great personality & sense of humor. I went straight to the clinic where I waited about a hour, thats another thing his not punctual , be prepared to wait. Oh and a full a dental CT was not performed. Day 2- Driver issues !! no driver on site . Had to take a uber . He did reimburse me for 95% of the uber trips, but when your spending alot of money you dont want inconveniences. He did proceed to start the veneers process which was very uncomfortable and a 6 out 10 level of pain . I also would have liked for him to explain what he was doing before & during. I had to keep asking him what he is going to do next, whats the plan for tomorrow, etc. He should have a more layed out schedule for his patients. His assistant was phenomenal . She is very profesional and was always helpful.
Day 3-6 - They had placed temporary veneers which fell off the next day . Me & hubby had to cancel our morning plans since I had to go back and fix it.
Day 6- Root canal , 2 Fillings. This was painless since in was under anesthesia which I again requested. It was done by another Dr. She was professional and sweet.
Day 7- Time for the veneers! I believe he did rush the process. Most dentist take 3 hours plus placing new veneers. Veneers looked AMAZING! pictures & joy time ! but this joy ended very quickly.
Day 8- last day in DR I just wanted to relax , I had to run to his office because my implant crown came off ????
Day 16- My front tooth veneer came off , I was so devastated , since I was in a Albany legislation event in NY , again I had to run to a dentist in the area to get it bonded. He did pay for the expenses but only 85% of It. That was responsible of him , just wished this did not happen to me.
Day 17- A second veneer came off. At this point I'm burning furious. He did again say he will cover the expenses. He also offered a all expense Payed trip to replace my veneers. I accepted. My husband and I flew back 3 weeks later.
SECOND TRIP-
First Day- No issues with driver(Omar) , he was there on time, again great vibes and straight to office to prep teeth . This time he shaved my teeth even more & took new impressions. Then placed temps.
Day 2 & 3 - Ofcourse the temps came off, but it I was fine. Me & hubby just made the best of the situation & enjoyed DR.
Day 4- Venners placement and he fixed my bite. Took him this time 2-3 hours. He also had the person who created the veneers there observing to make sure everything goes perfect. When everything was done he recommended I where a dental guard a night , he made one specifically for my teeth. Second time , I was hopeful and joyfully. Unfortunately not for long.
3 weeks later - Yet another Venner came off. I messaged him requesting a full refund , I know it was a long shot but can a girl try? He stated that there's nothing else he can do & anytime Im in DR he can help but not anymore.
CONCLUSION:As a patient and medical professional myself I know I did my part to protect what I Payed for. I am hoping that he continues to perfect his craft and I believe he will. He has great potential, but I dont believe his 100% there yet. I followed all the rules & instructions when it comes to veneers. Specially when it comes to my $6,800 investment plus other miscellaneous costs during both trips. Do I believe he could have done more. Of course. Unfortunately is risk you take when it comes to international cosmetic procedures. I'm a nurse , soon to be NP, I dont have the time to fly every time a veneer pops off. Now I have to continuously pay $250 every time a veneer comes off.
The dentists here in NY stated that casualties do happen with veneers but not so soon, specially when there's is no physical accident or strong impact involved. They further stated that If the fitting, placement and quality of the veneers is done excellent then I should not have any issues for a long time , specially when you take good care of the veneers it should last you 10-15 years.
Final Notes:
If you travel frequently to the DR or live over there, then yes , have dental work done over there cause you can always go back and fix it at 0 cost , but when you dont it can become a nightmare.
If I would have done a deeper rooted research on veneers I would have probably stayed with my teeth and just gotten two front veneers and whitening. life is too short to be running to the dentist every other week. Now I live in fear that my veneers might come off at anytime. Not sure what the future holds.
This post is not to discourage anybody just MY experience on getting dental work abroad with Dr. Jepssy Beltre. Good luck to all the future bright smiles!

4TH VENEER - GONE!
Yet again, another veneer fell off while I was brushing my teeth. I brush with a soft tooth brush, floss in a up & out motion, & I cut my food into pieces and ofcourse eat with my back teeth. Even though I was not diagnosed with teeth grinding here in NY or NJ by top reputable Dentists, I still wear a dental guard at night. Still, with all the paranoid care veneers keep falling off. This time the veneer cracked and a partial veneer was left on my teeth. I will be once again scheduling a appointment with my dentist and spending $250 for bonding. Now, mind you I can no longer use this veneer to bond back, thank God I never threw away the veneer that came off originally for this exact same tooth. Is sad when dentists make you believe porcelain veneers last up to 10 years, so far in MY experience mine has not lasted 7 months. Once I finish Nurse Practitioner school I will be flying out to ATL to the best in the world for a full re-evaluation , but right now all I can do is keep bonding back, unless another one cracks and I have no replacement , then I will be spending $2,000-3000 for one veneer here in NY.

sorry to hear this but thanks for posting. you are saving a lot of people from making a huge mistake. Who is the ATL dr? and does your original dr take no responsibility? I guess even if he did, the expense to travel would make it not worth it

Yea, he did say he will fix it if I travel, but what is the point? I gave him a second chance and they just keep falling

Oh sorry , Dr. Sam Saleh . I finished Family Nurse Practitioner school, now on to getting a job & plan to go next year. Will document my experience as well, best of luck!

Iam sorry you are having such bad luck with them. I ve had my veneers for 20 years and zero issues. Every dentist has varying degrees of skill on how to do them. 3000$ /tooth is way to much in my opinion around 1000$ /tooth....this Canadian btw....is a fair price and should good you a good lonlasting quality job. No one should be able to tell that you have them, that's my idea of a good job but that's just me. This site is an invaluable resource , good luck

Thanks for the advice. I agree with you, it is very expensive, but I just want this nightmare to be over. Now that I'm finished with NP school I can finish this veneers journey. I will keep you all posted in whatever I decide.

For anyone interested in who my Dr was, it was Dr Norm Beland located in Timmons, ON, Canada. Yes it's way up there lol, I don't reside there any more but Windsor, ON. It's been 20 years since I had my veneers placed and originally had four. Now I would like to get them replaced along with additional ones. So in total I would like to get 18-20 veneers. 10 upper and 10 lower.

Is he still practicing since is been 20 years lol. I going to look him up, but I doubt I'll be going to Canada. Thanks for sharing

Yes, he had just graduated from dental school. I was his very first patient that he put veneers on. They are so good in fact that over the years in different offices for dental checkups the respective dentist would ask do you have veneers. The margins and blending are that good. It's been 20 years and Iam sure he's only gotten better. He has another 25+ years before retiring. He's still relatively young, in his mid forties.

6th Veneer Gone!
Back to the dentist office I go. The 5th veneer was last year November. I have receipts from all my visits to the dentist, which of course insurance does not pay for cosmetics and so far I have spent about 1,600 additional aside from the 9,000 I spent for the veneers, travel expenses, hotel, miscellaneous.
