THE BIG DAY!
I came in at 9.00AM, my gums were numbed, teeth were polished and the finished versions of the veneers were fitted over my teeth to check the final fit. Dr. Luis made some last-minute adjustments to them with the drill and then cemented them on. I asked them if I could listen to music with my headphones which helped distract me from everything going on. I also watched a Shakira concert on the TV which helped too.
I’m happy I was numb, there was a lot going on. Getting the teeth cemented on wasn’t bad at all, but perfecting them after the cementation was the hardest part. Making sure to get all the excess cement off the back of my teeth and making sure there was enough space in-between the new teeth to floss them were the toughest parts. It took awhile but they were able to finally smooth everything out.
Then they checked my bite. I could tell one side was off a little bit and I told Dr. Luis - he was able to smooth it out with no problem. They used little blue carbon copy paper to check that my upper and lower teeth were hitting together properly. Everything felt good! When everything was finished, they took a final impression for a mouthguard to keep my teeth protected at night while I sleep.
I can’t say this for sure since I don’t speak Spanish, but it seemed that both Dr. Andres and Dr. Luis really made a point to talk through each step of the cosmetic planning process (their thoughts on how and where the teeth should be placed, what shape, their vision of how the patient's smile will come together) with the general dentists assisting them so that they could see and learn the process as well. I think they are both mentors to the other dentists which was really cool to see.
It was a long process to get here, but I love the final version of my teeth! This was a great experience. These guys are the real-deal and I would come back to see Dr. Luis or Dr. Andres if I had any other major dental work to be done in a heartbeat.

Day 4
I had a quick day at the clinic on Day 4. I finally got to meet Dr. Luis Kaver! He was great.
My (almost) final veneers were shown to me - everything about them was finished except for the final color. I looked at them with Dr. Kaver and he wanted to know what I thought. To me, they looked great! I tried them on for fit and size. The technician that created the teeth also came in to talk with me and see what I thought. We also talked about what the final color should be. I didn't want them to be crazy white since they wouldn't match my bottom teeth. In the end, we decided to go a shade whiter than my bottom teeth which was a great choice.

Day 2 + 3
Temps are on! I have to eat really carefully with these, one wrong bite and they'll fall out. They feel goofy but it's better than having to walk around with filed-down dull teeth. I can feel a little bit of sensitivity but nothing major. They look bulky in my mouth.

Yes it does looks bulky. I was going to say about it. I didn’t know it was temporary. Looks good though.
