One Month Post Op

$8,500
I am 4 weeks PO today and just had my one month check up yesterday. The time seemed to go so slow at times, but now I can look back and be thankful for a successful surgery and results. PS said I was halfway there, still swollen, and that I could continue to have swelling for up to 3-6 months. I'm to wear spanx or cg as much as possible for next 2 months. He said I should smooth out and get flatter soon. It's already a great improvement, but honestly, I had expected a more taught and flat tummy, but I will be patient and wait for the swelling to subside and for my posture to return to normal. I do have a nice new belly button and the incision is very slight. PS said I could continue light exercise and resume all activities in 2 more weeks. He said listen to my body. I can't wait for my first beach walk. PS said to change the brown tape on the incision every two weeks and to continue to use lotion on my belly. I am sleeping in my bed and wake a couple times during the night having to turn over. I have been working 30 hours per week from home the last two weeks, and will return full time to the office on Monday. That will be a challenge, but I will be happy to get back to my normal life!

Swelling still at 12 days post op

I am letting time heal, but when I look at tummy, it is bloated and swollen more than the first day. I lost two lbs the first day but now one lb over pre op weight. I can only attribute the weight to inactivity and normal swelling. I am telling myself not to be discouraged, that all is normal. Healing with patience and trying to be positive. Second pist op appt tomorrow.

7 days post op - drains out and getting better daily

I have been concentrating on the healing process and have not really been focusing on the results as it seems it takes weeks for full effect. I am loving that my belly is cleaned up and flat with all the lumps and bumps gone. I think me and my new belly button are going to get along just fine, its pretty! And I am impressed that the incision looks to be very clean.
