5.5 Months Post Op

Boobs are settled in evenly. Even at 1 month post op, there was nothing wrong with the placement. I made sure to wear the compression band (bandeau) any chance I got for 2 months. I'll be honest with you, because my surgical bra was smaller as my boobs became less swollen, I ditched it for sports bra (plus it was much more comfier). But I made sure to wear the compression band to help drop the implants. I didn't really massage as my surgeon never told me to or gave me a technique. I kind of let gravity take over. Now at 5.5 post op, my boobs are very squishy! Feels practically real, unless I stretch my arms above my head and lay flat with chest out. Then you'll feel the firmness. Overall, I have no back problems. At 2 months post op, I went back to weight training HOWEVER I do not train my chest whatsoever. I don't plan to for at least a year. I sleep comfortably with my implants ever since I was 4 Weeks Post op.

Nov 23, 2016 @ 12:05 PM.

The day of the surgery, my dream come true. Was I nervous? Not to an extreme because this type of surgery has been conducted for so long now, that the commonality for butch jobs are unlikely unless you do your research! I have chosen a doctor that a few close friends have been to and to travel all the way from Toronto to Ostrava, Czech Republic is an another experience itself. It is quite a mission to save a lot of money and experience this solo but the doctor here had provided an overnights stay at his clinic because after the surgery, the first 24 hours must be monitored. The room is very spacious and comfortable, with satellite TV but I cannot find a single English channel or how to add subtitles to the program. LOL.

As I am typing this, in 3 hours I will be in the surgical room. I will be going through epidural anesthesia and going to ask to be sedated, so I don't remember a thing. I'm the type of person who looks at needles going in me, and stare at what's going in or going out (blood work). But I cannot stomach being able to communicate while being numb. I would rather just sleep! *panda mode*

I'm currently 25 years old, healthy, 5'2" and weigh 115 lbs. I'm going for a D cup size and I'm originally an A/B cup.

TIMELINE:

10:00 AM

Arrival at clinic. Cannot eat or drink anything beyond this point. Introduced to the Doctor as well as nurse. Filled out client information.

10:15 AM

Blood work from right arm. Filled three tubes for testing.

10:30 AM

Shown my room and was asked to shower before going through consultation and paperwork with the surgeon.

10:45 AM

Consultation included knowing what size to go for. Left boob is smaller, thus need bigger volume. Technique is to be placed during surgery where there he places this measuring tool to know exactly what volume high profile gel silicone to use. I am going for a D size overall and incision will be made through the outside of the nipple areola and be placed under the muscle.

This is the most painful method. *swallows*

He then took a before photo and proceeded with the markings on my chest.

After that, we signed a bunch of paperwork and he prescribed me some painkillers. The total cost of this procedure including the deposit is 2540 EUR.

I've been sent to my room and now have to play the waiting game. The only English channel I found was a music channel. Of all videos I saw, I really liked:

Twenty One Pilots "Heathens"

1:11 PM

Nurse came in and looks like my blood work is all good to go. Left hand local anesthesia prep with vein on left wrist. I'll be given a pill for sedation and I won't remember a thing.

3:08 PM

Was given a sedation pill. Once toilet is free, use toilet (occupied right now). I had always wondered if people peed or pooped during their procedure, lmao.

3:17 PM

Was asked for weight and height. I don't feel anything from the pill yet. 163 cm, am I actually 5'4"?!? All this time, I thought I was 5'2" ????

3:30 PM

I was sent to the surgical room where I met the anesthesiologist and another nurse who will be helping Dr. [RS bleep] with the procedure. I was asked if I was allergic to any medicine, and besides birth control, if there was anything else. Other than birth control and asthma, I am healthy. He asked me to lay on my right side and from there, he put anesthesia in my left wrist IV from when it was prepped earlier. I was put to sleep instantly. Reminded me of my salvia trip in university. I was GONE! I don't even remember dreaming of anything.

5:30 PM ???????

I was waking up from my anesthesia and remember seeing everyone clean up. I had no idea what was happening but I was sent to my room and I was all bandaged up tightly with just my thong on. I can feel the pain approaching.

7:00 PM

I was laying in my bed and going through excruciating pain. I thought I could tough through it all but I needed the epidural shots hourly. I could not lay comfortable, I was hot and cold, my nose was clogged, I felt like I was hyperventilating because I was not getting enough oxygen in me. I had all sorts of IVs coming out of my body. Left and right side syringe that was taking excess blood out, left wrist IV, top left shoulder where my epidural was going in for pain recovery, I couldn't believe it was this bad.

9:00 PM

I had asked for sleeping pills to try to sleep. The nurse had given me two and water to drink. She left crackers for me to eat and a huge hug of tea. I was still going through so much pain, so she upped the epidural dosage and I can quickly feel the pain go away. I can request this hourly but I've been trying to put off requesting it because she had another patient to take of and running on no sleep. I'm so thankful for her and will indeed tip her a lot as my life depended on her.

10:30 PM-6:00 AM **Nov 24**

I had asked for my epidural dosage during these times. It helped me sleep.

7:12 AM

I woke up and there was breakfast for me to eat. She prepared two toast with jam and butter and new jug of tea. I had a bit of a cough attack (tickle in my throat) and apparently I cough like that during my surgery. LOL

I had munched on all the crackers here and there between shots. After another shot, I was able to go to the bathroom fine. I looked myself in the mirror and congratulated myself for going through with this procedure and that pain is only temporary. This will be worth it!

8:20 AM

Another epidural shot, the nurse knows I need this hourly as this is all too painful for me. She had asked for me to walk around the room. I changed into new panties and wore shorts and walked around to keep the blood flow to my legs.

9:45 AM

I am now all caught up with writing this experience. I'm trying to wait til 10:00 AM to get my next shot. I feel so bad for disturbing but I'm sure she is used to it. I will let her know I am so grateful for her when I'm ready to be sent back to my hotel after 5:00 PM

10:00 AM

Asked for shot and the pain goes away instantly. The nurse was also telling me that the male who was having a procedure on his chest did not go well because his body rejected the anesthesia. He was sent to the hospital. It's times like this that make me feel grateful that I am a healthy women and react well with drugs. For instance, the needle method for birth control, some women spot non stop or have their period for weeks while on the needle. I get my period the last week before I am due for another shot. It must be a good balance in food, exercise and I take my vitamins daily as recommended. Treat your body like a temple! Your future self will thank you.

11:20 AM

Another shot. I really needed it. The nurse said when I'm sent to the hotel, I'll get a longer last shot as well as medication that will put me to sleep. Luckily my hotel is literally 4 houses down from the clinic, so about 150m away!

12:35 PM

Another shot. The nurse can tell I am walking around as my body is cleaning the blood from my chest. Peeing normally and now snacking on crackers. The man who had surgery after me is now in good condition! Phew!

3:00 PM

Passed out until the nurse explained my prescriptions. I have sleeping pills, take two tablets in one day (morning - 10 AM and nighttime 9 PM). I also have antibiotics pain killer that I can take 3X at 25 ml drops every 8 hours. If I feel weird or nauseous, I can take it after 6 hours from last dosage at 30 ml drops. Total cost is 25 EUR. I also tipped the nurse 40 EUR and explained that I'm very appreciative for her help. She was running on no sleep and has one more operation today at 6 PM. She tried to give the money back and explained "I love my job" but I told her to keep it. She noticed I was in pain, gave me another shot. I'm going to miss these epidural shots!!!

5:00 PM

Doctor [RS bleep] is back and he is going to unwrap me as well as pull out the drainage from my body. It was like unwrapping a present for myself, except two people are taking the bandage off. I saw my [RS bleep]! Omg, so damn beautiful and very natural looking - AND SYMMETRICAL! The doctor even announced "DOUBLE D!". Wow! I was indecisive with D and DD - but it may be DD right now because I am swollen.

I was asked to lay down in order to get the drainage syringe out of my right and left side. Quick but there is some pain when he pulls it out. Lastly, I was given a special bra to keep my new breasts in place. I am to wear this for 2 months and after that, I can do anything and get back to exercising!

Check up is next Monday Nov 28 and if all is well, I can fly back home! No showering of the breasts for 7 days as showering will cause infections. Do not massage until 2 weeks after swelling as it could open wounds and shift the breasts.

I shook both of their hands with a big smile. I'm so happy!

Now to get through the rest of the recovery solo with my prescribed medications and order room service for myself ????

Nov 24 @ 9:00 PM

After the drugs have worn off, the pain is tolerable. I've been taking my medications on time and I can definitely get through this recovery alone. Still painful, but not like the first 12 hours after surgery.

Nov 26 @ 3:00 AM

I haven't had a full nights rest at all. I don't even remember catching myself asleep. Usually, I can sleep anytime, anywhere but lately I've been wide awake. This was even prior to surgery, so I'm not sure what's been keeping me up. The sleeping pills certainly do not work with me. I think melatonin works better but I haven't tried it yet because I do not want to mix too many chemicals in my body. I will stick to what's been prescribed until I'm fully out.

I also unwrapped myself from this special bra and had a good glimpse at my new boobs and took some photos. They're perfect.

Anyways, I'm ready to go home ???? It really hits you how much your family and friends mean to you when you're across the pond by yourself going through recovery.

Nov 26 @ 10:53 PM

I have no idea why I cannot sleep! I don't even feel the pain when I'm laying on my back. I've become super insomnia and have no desire to just "Netflix and chill". I just want to sleep. It must be the epidural steroid shots that were given to me after the surgery. I've been searching that it's a very common side effect and will go away when I am off all my pain medications. *sigh*

The entire experience, and going alone, has been a memory I'll remember forever. Doctor Polak was very helpful with me via email correspondence ever since I have heard about his amazing work from my friends. I decided to contact him as soon as I found out how affordable it all was. Compared to Toronto ($10,000-$12,000), going on this journey for new breast at a fraction of the costs was a guaranteed "HELL YES" for me. I had difficulty on choosing what size to go for. I had showed my before pictures the the doctor and pictures of what I hope to achieve. If I wanted to go Full DD, I would need 450cc in each breasts. We waited until the day of the surgery on final size. He was so helpful, patient and I truly trusted his judgement on the final size. Because of my existing body frame and fat tissue, he'd recommend me going to a D. In my honest opinion, I love the natural look as well as the fake look. So, it was his call on what to work with with my current body frame. Post-Op, I ended up getting 475cc left side and 395cc right side. YES, my boobs were not proportioned to one another and now, they're practically the same size! Overall, the clinic, the nurse, the entire experience was something I'd do over again and again. I have already sent two of my friends to Ostrava on May 4, 2017 to get their breast augmentation and so far, they are experiencing the same journey as me.
