Wanted the procedure done for many years and...
Wanted the procedure done for many years and finally took the plunge. As the prices here in the UK are so obscene I decided to go to Poland at Adam Kalecinski's highly recommended clinic where 90% if not more of the patients travel from UK. Compared to around £2,000-£4,000 that I was quoted over here I only paid £800 sterling.
Marta at the clinic did the procedure as she's the one with the expertise in labiaplasty and she put me at ease as soon as I went in for the consultation. Advised me what would be best for a natural look and for comfort etc.
The surgery took around an hour and I was under a general anaesthetic. Woke up in the recovery room feeling groggy but no pain. The pain (I'd say more stinging) did come around an hour later and they gave me pain killers orally and through my cannula which eased it all off again.
I was a little scared to go to the toilet but was pleasantly surprised to have no pain or stinging which I was expecting!
Fast forward to 6 days later and I'm feeling great. Had hardly any bruising, minimal pain (when I have had a little, has been easily controlable with pain killers) only slight discomfort really and that's mainly when doing a lot of walking and sitting down. But all in all a lot more bearable than I was expecting! Still swollen down there and know I won't see full results for another few weeks but definitely looks aesthetically better and I'm sure I will feel much more comfortable!
The stitches have slightly irritated me today (little itchy) but nothing major. Keeping clean with feminine wash and water every time I use the toilet and still in my big Bridget Jones pants haha. Looking forward to the next few weeks when I can get back to the gym and engage in sexual activity again!
I know everyone's journey is different and some people will have a harder recovery than me but I would definitely say that it has been worth it so far and I'm very glad that I finally went through with it. The clinic was great, aftercare during the 2 days I was there was also very good and I really can't complain about the price as it was a fraction of the cost even with my flights and hotel included!
I'm not even using pain killers now and have had no trouble sleeping either. Have had a look and it all looks very clean and neat, no bleeding, barely any discharge, stitches are hardly visible and you probably wouldn't even think I'd had surgery down there less than a week ago!
Very pleased so far and would recommend anyone wanting to get this procedure done to go for it. Do your homework, ask lots of questions and if you are, like me, a little reluctant to pay so much for such a straight forward procedure then look at Dr Kalecinski's Europe surgery clinic in Wrosclaw Poland. They are UK trained and certified and I've heard tons of other women's success stories with various different surgeries.
