worth it!

$350
Ok... so it took two weeks for me to heal.... not a week as initially suggested. At times I have wondered if it's made a difference and questioned why I put myself through it. However!!!..... I have just put together a before and after pic and can see the difference!! Think I was expecting more in terms of dealing with under eye lines :-)

Has it helped with sun damage/pigmentation? It looks like it on pic and what was the peel called? Thanks x
Yes it was good for Sun damage. I had a couple of Sun spots which have gone. It was a tca peel 20 % which I had done x
Thank you x
Looks amazing!!!! Will u do another peel in the future? How many layers were applied? I'm an esthetician and have done tca peels at home and your pics make me want to do one. It's been years since I have!
Thank you. I personally wouldn't do one again. Too painful and I have been left with Mark's around my mouth and am prone to spots wheres I wasnt before. Overall skin looks Better than before. I probably caused marks by picking.
i did the same thing...... i didn't know about the picking and actually cause myself some hyper pigmentation spots :
I was offered a phenol peel by my surgeon at my check up appointment. But i am not going down that road. I am trying a mesotherapy course instead which is supposed to even out the pigmentation problems and reduce under eye wrinkles. Will let you know how I get on. ☺
And you are so much braver than me, I could never do a peel at home! It's prob not a great idea for you to have another peel if you are also prone to picking.
You look AMAZING! Very happy for you!
aw thank you!
I think you look great.. maybe a closer undereye picture emote and after

update

On day four now. Face has swollen again over night, especially around the one eye and the entire face feels a little tight and stingy. Peeling started on day two which was a relief. I have areas around my eye and forehead which haven't peeled yet.
It is a bit of a nightmare for me to be honest. Didn't think about the fact I am a picker, trying really hard not to pick at loose skin ( although I have). The last thing I want to do is scar myself. I have just sent an email to the doctor asking whether I can still apply vitamin e cream once I peeled,as doing so now makes my skin sting.
Where I have peeled my skin is very red. I have attaced some pics of my journey.

Hi! I've done several TSA peels on myself. I've done a little higher than 20% with great success. It usually takes at least 2 weeks for my skin to look somewhat normal. Although you might still be a little red after skin peels off for a while. Its a pain, but it's worth it! Don't pick!
Does the peel leave you with uneven skin tone (after all healed) if only applied to certain areas?
I do remember every time I got hot, out of shower, etc., those areas were more red for a very long time. It seemed to go away. I don't notice it now. It's been almost 1 year since last peel.
Hi what type of peels did you do?
Please don't pick. You can leave scars
Thank you for sharing. I had mine done yesterday and it really did feel like my face was on fire. Much better after a gentle cleanse and tons of moisturizer. I have some gray patches on my skin which concerned me but I see you had them too, so just part of the process. The redness has markedly decreased - good thing because I resembled a cooked lobster !!
Ha ha... I remember rocking the lobster look!! Just don't be tepted to pick whatever you do. Xx
How long did your skin stay VERY RED for? Was it more than a month? Did your face flush a lot more, after the TCA peel? I had lasering that left me red for a few years. Horrible. And I had flushing for about 7 years, even after major redness finally faded. Let me know, when you can. Thanks!
ORIGINAL POST

I have a big issue with fine lines and wrinkles...

I have a big issue with fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes. The same surgeon who performed my rhinoplasty suggested the tca peel rather than the surgery options I was looking into. He said the peel will reduce the lines and hopefully get rid of the sun spots that I have. Peel was done 10am this morning. I am not going to lie, it really did hurt. My face felt like it was on fire. Fortunately I only had to endure this for minutes before a neutraliser was applied. Face felt very tight. Currently a little tender, and red.

Thank you for your post! Would you share some pics too as your results progress? It'll be great to see how your skin transitions!

When you do you expect to start peeling?

How are you holding up? I hope we'll.
I am good thank you! Just posted an update. On day four now and definetly won't be leaving the house anytime soon!!
did you using 20% or 25%?
20 % !☺
How were the results?
It doesnt look like she is on this site anymore...
:-(
I did one on my arms and my chest. My chest is fine but my arms have now gotten sun spots back after 8 months, and this is due to the way I drive my vehicle, mostly women drive with their arms up top of the steering wheel, and men hold from the bottom, well thats my thoughts. Plus I forget to apply sunscreen sometimes, which I am sorry about. I am going to do another peel and post it on here when I do do it, I just have to pick my time, I should have done it a month ago when it was winter. All the best :-)
Hi, The last photos with the two photos of yourself, is one with makeup on? You did get a great result, how is your skin now one year later? :-) I would like to know because I am a Beautician and I do this treatment.
Thank you
