WARNING!! Dr Jennifer Harrington is at best NOT respectful (to me) and at worst INCONSISTENT and a LIAR

This is an update I had meant to do much earlier. After my coolsculpting, I had a 2 month followup with a nurse who admitted verbally that, Yes, she could not see much of a difference. So she said, come back at 3 months for another followup. A month later, I met with a nurse practicioner/another clinic professional, and she took phoos and said well, everyone responds differently, and the doc wasn't in. A couple weeks after that, I finally met Dr Harrington again. At that point I brought all my photos and wanted to talk about further options. I was not tearful or distraught, just wanted to present my case and see if the company for Coolsculpting would give a partial refund (after all, I had NO effects whatsoever, neither good nor bad), or if she would be nice enough to cover liposuction to just the banana roll area, as that was the original area she felt was the most noticeable. Dr. Harrington insisted that she could see a difference after the treatments, DESPITE the fact that the photos were taken using a different background and lighting AND that her nurses were hesitant and one verbally agreed that Coolsculpting had no effect on me. Thus, she was not only not interested in doing further coolsculpting or lipo (I declined coolsculpting for obvious reasons, but she did not want to cover liposuction without specific reasons, to reach the desired effect), she was VERY reluctant also to present a case to the Coolsculpting company. Halfway into the appointment, she started staying that "you're just so..." without finishing saying, presumably "vain", and from that point lost interested and seemed ready to leave the room. At that point I felt disgusted and disappointed in how she treated the situation, and more severely, was inconsistent in her/clinic's conclusions on my post-treatment. As I've said, I have been through a handful of procedures by now and have walked away from some, pressed the doctors in others, and accepted revisions and human flaws in more than half of these procedures; but at NO point was the doctor disrespectful or condescending, even when they disagreed. I declined to litigate as I did not have written evidence of her nurses agreeing with me that they did not see changes (in photos and in person) despite her (Dr. Harrington's) forceful opinion of seeing changes, and she had that advantage. At least I can leave that evidence and my opinions here.

Oh, and by the way? She also lied - I was told that they'd contact Coolsculpting representatives to at least see if they could refund, and get back to me in January about whether they succeeded or not. To this day I haven't gotten an email or call about it.

3 months later and no results

These are my 3 month post-op pics. Please keep in mind that they used different lighting and/or backgrounds every time I went to take pics (including my 2 month post-op pics, not included here but honestly looks similar to either the pre-op or post-op pics), which may bias the results visually. The post-op results are soft-focus, direct lighting whereas the pre-op photos had an overhead light source casting shadows on some lumps/curves. They did not choose to release post-op banana roll or side flank photos for some reason..
I can tell you I have really tried to believe that these procedure, having been around for a while and not faded as a fad, has made *some* small difference, and cannot find any for 2-month or 3 month post-ops in person or scrutinizing photos. I'd expected a higher possibility of dimpling/unevenness, signs that it worked that I was initially informed about and hesitantly accepted and went forward with, than nothing at all.. For the record I look at my banana rolls for any approx. % of fat lost, since they are the most prominent, and my belly and flanks have low amounts of fat anyway. Nope, still have them. One of the practitioners sat down to meet with me + went over my results, and further options are that we can press this case with Zeltiq, or plan B redoing my area with lipo. I am slated for a meeting with Dr. Harrington soon, and I'm really hoping we can get at least somewhere after half of ten grand spent.

After my surgery by Dr. Hoyos, I had some residual...

After my surgery by Dr. Hoyos, I had some residual fat around the upper thighs, as well as an imprint of "abs" left that was mainly my abdominal fat. I decided to do some final touch ups on those areas via non-invasive methods, so read a lot of reviews, articles and the company website Zeltiq before deciding on Coolsculpting. Also, Dr. Harrington has had many favorable reviews and is conveniently located for me, so I decided to do one round of treatment for the three areas with her. The treatment of 1hr per area was somewhat painful (like leaving a popsicle in your cheek for so long that it tingles, intensifies to stabbing pains, and then finally goes numb). Afterwards, the areas treated definitely hurt more, since your areas are thawing and you can feel sensatiosn again. For the following days, I was surprised at how quickly I could get back to work and other activities, with occasional itching/prickling pains.

Pros: Dr. Harrington is known for being no-nonsense and let me know right away what she thinks about a certain procedure I was considering. She did not try to sell me or push me to do anything just for the money. Cons: I understand that she is busy but given my issue after the operation I would have liked to see her, instead of multiple meetings with her nurses and/or practitioners. During the first meeting she adamantly didn't want to do a procedure another respected doc in CA suggested, stating she's never had one satisfied patient from that procedure - I'm thinking, if you haven't had a successful case, why are you still offering that procedure??
