Regretting revision

I’m wishing I had and still might document my revision experience separately as I feel at this point in time I would comment that it hasn’t been worth it. I only wanted the tiny residual hump rasped down, but I have come out of it with a completely different side profile. Myself and mr mcdiarmid always agreed on an almost straight profile, but I have ended up with quite a slope which I really dislike as it makes my top look long. Other than the tiny bump after my primary op I was ecstatically happy with my results. I just feel sad that I even had the revision. I’m going to schedule an appointment with Mr Mcdiarmid to express my concerns and hope he can see where I’m coming from.

Hi. It was left that he would do fillers for at cost for me, but this really isn’t a route I wanted to go down. I’m just having to get used to the more sloped look. I’m still happier than my natural nose, but just was happier post primary and wish I had r had revision.
I still very much recommend James Mcdiarmid. Luck you! You having it done at the new wood clinic then? Would have loved to have had mine done there! Looks amazing! X

Hi! Thank you for your extensive review on here, this is really helpful :) Sorry to hear your revision did not go to plan for you. I am thinking of having a rhinoplasty with James McDiarmid and am glad to see you still recommend him. Could I ask whether you have had any breathing trouble after your two surgeries? This is the main concern that has kept me from seeking rhinoplasty advice sooner - my breathing currently is fine and I am scared the surgery may mess with it.

No breathing problems at all. Literally my only issue is with the amount he took away after revision. I can’t really fault my primary, other than the tiny lump I regretfully had revised. Good luck with your journey. Keep me updated x

Thank you so much! :) x I will have to wait a little longer to get the funds together but I am quite an obsessive person so doing my research already, but I can't wait to get it done. By the way I have to say that you look really beautiful in general!!

A lot less swelling and no so worried

The swelling feels like it’s mostly resolved. The transition from bridge to tip is completely smooth and I’m so glad the small residual bump is completely gone. I still have days where the swelling is worse and I worry I have a slight poly beak from side profile, but I know I’m still relatively early in the healing process and it has already settled a lot since my initial ‘wobble’. Due my 3 month check up soon. I still stand by my previous comments about Mr Mcdiarmid and highly recommend him for anyone wanting to take the plunge and undergo rhinoplasty. I do feel this is one of his specialties and am so glad I did my research and discovered him.
