WORTH IT
In September 2018, I had a rhinoplasty, turbinate reduction, and septoplasty performed by the amazing Dr. Goco in Murfreesboro. It has been nearly 6 months since my surgery and I am in LOVE with my results! I feel so much more confident about my nose and I can breathe SO much better than I used to. Thank you, Dr. Goco!

How much did you pay or was it covered?

It was around $6k, but I am still making payments. Some of it was covered because part of the procedure was to help my breathing that was obstructed by a deviated septum and collapsed nostrils.

How was recovery? How were the stents afterward?

Hi, sorry for replying so late! Recovery was a little difficult the first few days, mainly because I couldn't really sneeze because of the stents. My nostrils and nose underneath the bandages were itching like crazy from healing and I couldn't touch or scratch it to alleviate the itch. The pain was minimal for the most part and swelling lasted for about 2-3 days or so. I tried not to laugh, smile, or talk much for a few days because it hurt to do any of these things. I listened to Dr. Goco's advice and used Arnica ointment to prevent bruising and did other things to help with swelling. Getting the stents removed was probably the most painful and uncomfortable part of this entire experience. I'd describe it as a searing pain through your nostrils for about 5 seconds or however long it takes for them to remove them. But this surgery was definitely worth it and I'm so glad I finally did it.

Note: (I accidentally posted another review instead of putting the update here, oops! Hopefully the mods will catch it).
Here are some update photos of my rhinoplasty/septoplasty/turbinate reduction surgery 1 year and 7 months post-op. I am still in love with results and I’m breathing great.

Before, my nose was really droopy and it was a bit crooked too, especially when I smiled (deviated septum). My breathing was pretty obstructed by my deviated septum.
