Great Experience Extremely Happy! - Dominican Republic, DO

I had researched for 2yrs for a surgeon after reading up on Dr.HernandezPizzoglio i decided he was the one I made a few calls to his office and spoke with Laura his assistant which is btw extremely nice she sent me instructions on how the procedure would be and what was needed for payments the deposit at the bank was very simple just give them the money and account number and they will issue you a receipt which u bring with you to the surgery. I was a bit worried about depositing money but it was at a well known bank plus I kept all of my documents should there be any issues. Big plus I spoke Spanish so I was in constant communication with Laura and Dr.Hernandez. After the deposit is received your surgery date is scheduled you must send all your travel documents to Laura so that she can arrange your driver and your stay at the recovery house. When I arrived at the airport I was greeted by Leo which was my driver he then grabbed my bags and brought to the recovery house that same day and I met Ana the owner of the house and your care taker for the time u stay at the recovery house it was about $80 a day which is well worth it! She cooks 3 meals a day and changes your bedding and washes your clothes as well as help u after u return from surgery she also has a helper she's a sweetheart she always helped me with everything! The day before the surgery u get to meet Dr.Hernandez I was extremely pleased with what he had to say he's not going to sugar coat anything he will let you know that he cannot perform miracles lol but he does let u know what he is capable of. He showed me some of his work and explained in detail how the procedure works and the pros and cons then u ask all the questions u need answered then pay the money and get ur bloodwork done by one of the nurses you have to pay for pre-op meds which are $20 as well as insurance which I believe is $150. After that you see the cardiologist and get an EKG reading. Once your all set test are complete and money has been paid in full u go back to the recovery house and get ready for the next day which is ur surgery! I was a bit nervous but that's normal as with any surgery u can't eat past 12midnight and we had taken a pill to sleep and relax us the night before the surgery. The morning of the surgery I was picked up by Leo (the driver) and taken to the clinic which was about 15min drive from the house. I went with a friend that was getting the same procedure so it was less nerve racking. We were in the same room and were given IV's Dr.Hernandez arrived and greeted us took a few pictures we joked around and then gave us each a pill to relax us before going in to surgery next thing u know I was next and all I remember was them taking me down to the OR and then waking up in my room literally felt like 5mins! I thought I would be nauseas and groggy but I wasn't I was just fine! I was in a girdle and had drainage plug that the nurses came to drain every so often. We stayed overnight and we were back at the recovery house the next morning I was a bit sore but nothing excruciating! Almost felt like I had gone to the gym and was worked out by a body builder! Lol at the recovery house Ana had soup waiting for us and then we rested for the remainder of the day the weather was great so we were always out on our balcony or on the patio downstairs. We seen the doctor and he checked us out and said we looked good after surgery. We went to see him again before we left to get our drainage plug pulled out and all the tape and dressings removed. When I looked in the mirror you could already see results it was extremely excited I just knew he had done everything I wanted! I got back home and sent Dr.Hernandez a few pics and he couldn't believe it was me there was a huge difference! I was happy and so was he!
