Prior to having babies, I was 5'7" and 125 pounds. I was a size 7 with a relatively short torso and long legs. When I was pregnant, I had a torpedo of a stomach that was so huge that no matter how much lotion I put on it, it stretched to the point of being shiny and so so itchy. It was during my first pregnancy that my beautiful innie belly button popped out. During my second pregnancy, I got a lump about 2 inches above my belly button.
After the pregnancies, I dropped to a size 00, but my stomach was all wrinkly with loose skin. I had fear of exposing my stomach when I'd raise my arms and my two-piece swimsuits stayed untouched in a drawer.
I had to have my abdominal wall hernia repaired from my second pregnancy. The surgeon implanted a piece of mesh and, although the surgery went well, there were several complications after the fact.
Eight years later, I contacted Dr. Wheeler about an abdominoplasty and was so impressed with his knowledge. On top of that, he was straightforward, honest, and funny. (Note: funny stinks after an abdominoplasty.) :)
He was able to repair my umbilical hernia from my first pregnancy, repair my diastasis, and remove my loose skin.
I really couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. My incision line is clean and my belly button looks natural. I really couldn't ask for more.

You look like I did with my pregnancies!! Mine were 9 and 10 pounds and my stomach is destroyed! I hope my TT results are as good as yours! You look amazing!!! How was the recovery?

Thank you both so much!
My recovery is going well. I was only on pain meds for a couple of days, but the real pain came recently as my cut nerves started finding each other. I've been getting little zingers that reminded me of my babies sitting on my sciatica when I was pregnant. Not fun, but TOTALLY worth it. I seriously can't believe how amazing the results are. I've had such a wrinkly belly for so long that the thought of not being embarrassed by it makes me so happy!
Good luck on your upcoming surgery! ❤️

If you are going to do tt I don't advise mini because of the loose skin you may not be happy with result and end up going back again for a full tt

Hehe! My tummy was the same, both times! And skin so stretched and shiny I thought it's going to pop open! Did you have a lot of upper abdominal stretch marks? And did tummy tuck removed all of them or some are still there? U look fab by the way, when before the surgery! :)

Thank you!! I feel so much better!
I don't remember any upper abdominal stretch marks, but I do have stretch marks under my belly button now so I must have. I do wonder if any of them came from the tummy tuck, because that area itched like crazy (just like when I was bursting out during pregnancy).
Still, it is so much better than it was before!

I think I actually got new stretch marks from the swelling of the TT, too. I'm kind of irritated. My doc doesn't put his patients into a garment until weeks after surgery so I'm wondering if I had one on earlier it wouldn't have happened. Hopefully they fade a lot.

I was in a compression garment from day one. In all of the research I've done, the surgeons are saying that TTs don't cause stretch marks. I do find that hard to believe since the itching and red streaking was so similar to the first time I got stretch marks. The compression garments made the area feel better, but I don't think they really reduced the swelling. I think the new stretch marks are from trying to walk upright when my skin was too tight to allow for that. Like I said though, it is way better than it was and I'm kindof glad that I still have my tiger stripes to make it more believable that I had my babies. :)

Of course it is babe! I had my tt 2 weeks ago, I haven't posted after pics yet but it's so much better, not even better I feel like a have a brand new tummy!:) I had lot of stretch marks on my lower abdomen and small tinny ones on the upper tummy, they have now moved to my lower tummy, under my belly button, can't see them when I'm standing upright but can when im bend over or lay flat! But I'm so happy with the results and from the research I have learned they cannot removed a lot of skin above the old belly button unless it's very stretchy there! How long u are wearing ur garmet for? 6weeks? I was wondering if I can switch to spandex occasionally where garmet is showing too much under the clothing.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I got new stretch marks from swelling. AND when my dr saw it he gave me the name of a good cream to order to help. He definitely didn't deny it. I wasn't in a garment until almost four weeks in and as soon as I wearing it my swelling was much less at the end of the day, so it did help me for sure. I wish I had it earlier.

That's really odd he didn't put u in the garmet from the day one? I woke up and had one on! It wasn't even that tight but it was there! Now 2 weeks later my swelling is a lot better and I can tighten the garmet even more, I feel so much better with it on, for support! Re: stretch marks, I think I have heard few ppl complaining about getting stretch marks after tt. I think it could be from too match stretched skin, too much tightened skin! And maybe straightening up too soon after! But all the surgeons deny it and say that those are all old stretch marks that just look worse now because of the swelling! How has your healing been?

I think I switched to Spanx after about three weeks. It didn't take long for my compression garment to be too loose to do any good. I felt better when I switched to the spandex garments, but I hated having to pull them up. I liked how the one from my PS had hooks and I didn't have to drag it over my incision. When you're ready to get new ones, I bought Spanx compression wear ("Wear your own bra") from TJ Maxx for $12 or something...
Congrats on your TT. It really is like having a new body! :)

I still think it is crazy how so much skin can be removed and my PS was able to line everything up so nicely. It seriously is an art.
I still have a bunch of numbness which is strange, especially when I'm wearing jeans. I just have to assume that they fit, but sometimes I notice that my pants are too tight or they are falling down, but I can't feel it at all. The feeling is supposed to come back... I just hope I don't walk around with my skin stuck in my zipper or my buttons undone, because I wouldn't know either way...

Oh my goodness, you did have a torpedo tummy when pregnant. It's crazy how the belly stretches so much. Your new tummy looks beautiful.
