Dr Jeffrey Steitz is AMAZING!
I recently had 3 Basal Cell Carcinomas removed via Moh’s surgery; one on my forehead, one on my nose, and one above my lip.

Dr Steitz was my reconstructive surgeon. From my initial consult, through my final post-op, he patiently answered every one of my questions.

Initially I was mortified after he’d shown me some before and after pictures of what to expect. My case was a challenge due to placement and the fact that this wasn’t my first instance of Basal Cell Carcinoma. Dr Steitz met the challenge, FAR exceeding my expectations. I honestly thought things would look pretty intense for MONTHS!

My Moh’s surgery was done by my dermatology surgeon on Feb 17, 2021. Dr Steitz performed a two part surgery which involved a “forehead flap”. The 1st was on Feb 18, 2021, the 2nd on March 11th.

I had my final followup with Dr Steitz yesterday April, 7, 2021. Dr Steitz patiently answered my questions at the very end as he had from the beginning. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Steitz for all your reconstructive/plastic surgery needs.

Nice49135, Hi. What an ordeal. And what a great outcome. You look very very nice. And you say this was not your first BCC. Yiikes. How have you handled all this emotionally. I have been a wreck, and I've only had biopsies, all negative. I'm in my 70's. My father was a physician, an exceptional general surgeon, but he adored the sun and later in life developed an immense problem with skin cancer. I, of course, also learned from him to love the sun. And the only sun screen products I remember were actually sun tanning products with spf under 5. So I worry a lot about skin cancer and spend most of my time indoors. Is the sun the source of your experience with BCC or do you have a family history. I do hope that you enjoy a long life without further skin problems. And I do hope you will respond to this message. Wishing you all good things Nice 49135, differiN
