Plasma Pen is so not worth it! It required a lot of downtime

Hi! I am so sorry that you are going through this. I had Subnovii Plasma Pen done 39 days ago on my upper eyelids, under eyes, in between my eyebrows, and my smile lines. The swelling was extremely bad after. I still have HORRIBLE swelling on my cheek bone - it looks like awful bags. I am so worried it will never go away. I had minimal bags on my cheek bone prior to this, but it is 10 times worse now. I still have red / discoloration where I was treated and makeup is not covering it up. A nurse practitioner did my procedure and used a ton of lidocaine near my cheek bones, I think too much and could have caused the extreme swelling maybe.

I had to be in the car for awhile today during the day and it was so sunny out. Now I fear that I have hyperpigmentation. I wore SPF 50 sunscreen, a large hat, large sunglasses, and a mask that covers my smile lines and under my eyes. Now I fear I have hyperpigmentation because my treated areas look worse and darker now.

This is the worst thing I ever done. I am so distraught. I was told the down time would be 10 days. This is way past that time frame. How long did the swelling last for you? Did the swelling ever go away? How long did you have discoloring and hyperpigmentation for? What did you do to treat it? What products did you use? I am at a loss and don’t know what to do at this point.

If I wasn’t required to wear a mask everywhere, I wouldn’t go anywhere. I am horrified and do not want to show my face to anyone. It’s absolutely awful. It is just not realistic for most people to have this much downtime either. The downtime is crazy! I had no idea or I would have never chosen to do this.
