Do Not Do the Plasma Pen! It Will Ruin Your Life!

I had a plasma pen procedure done on May 21, 2020. At my 10 week mark I noticed that the area that was treated was white spots and my pigmentation had not come back. The nurse that did his procedure decided to do three additional procedures at my 10 week mark to include traditional microneedling, microneedling with radio frequency, and IPL all in one setting, which did nothing but make matters worse.
This past year has been nothing short of hell as I have been healing from white hypertrophic scars all over the front of my neck and under my chin where she did the procedure.
I have since been seeing a board-certified dermatologist who has performed seven Mid-grade peels to help with getting the hypertrophic scars to go down, and I am getting ready to go in for my first halo treatment on September 2, 2021. I am praying that this helps as I can’t imagine looking like those the rest of my life.
If nothing else comes out of this I hope that I can help someone else and discourage everyone from getting this treatment as it has devastated me in more ways than you can imagine. This is not just a physical appearance on my neck, this Has taken a huge mental toll on me and my relationship with my husband. I beg of you to PLEASE stop and do not get this procedure done!
I wish that I would have never gotten this procedure done and regret it every day that I have to get up in the morning and look at myself in the mirror. Fortunately for me I am able to put a scarf around my neck to cover this up, but I can’t imagine anyone getting this done on their face and being scarred like this.
Love yourself enough to know that you are beautiful the way you are and this is how God intended you to be…. Without getting any work done to yourself.

You’re very welcome. If I can at least help one person to not do this, I have done my job!

You helped me! I was considering it for my top lip, but I won’t go near it now. There are other options that have much better reviews. Thanks you.

And BTW, I hope you are getting support for the emotional toll this took on you. Take care!

Thank you for your comment and well wishes. Unfortunately, the counseling that I received only made things worse after continuously talking about it. And every morning, I am faced with this situation that I didn’t ask for. I’m just glad that I am able to help you to not do this procedure and I hope that you will pass that info along to anyone else who is thinking of doing this. This procedure should not be allowed to be used anywhere on anyone!!!!! God Bless you!

I’m so sorry. I know that feeling. I let a non medical trained tech at a med spa do cool, sculpting on my lower be,ly, not realizing that age went way overboard using the largest applicator there us. I’m not overweight, never was, just had the lost menopause tummy. Well, sge got rid if the fat, but sge never took into consideration that I am very light skinned, and that fact together with overdoing the fat removal, resulted in my fomerjy pretty belly now drooping like I’d had massive weight loss and ten pregnancies. Devastating. Then I tried Thermi tight with a plastic surgeon. It was very expensive and did not improve anything. He did it again, and it made things worse. I can never wear anything that shows my midriff again, and I was still wearing bikinis before the cool sculpting. The thermi made things exponentially worse. Despite that surgeon insisting he ,always stands by his work!” he’s done nothing to compensate he—like how about a refund?

Then there was the fat grafting—same guy, plastic surgeon. He overfilled me horribly. Four years later, I still have to remind myself not to smoke too big because I look like a chipmunk. Same thing—he just insists he stands by his work, and thrn offered me nothing. And this was so much worse because it’s my face. The good news is that aging does continue, so the fat is less now, though I’m still sporting that peanut shape.

But! Back to you. No doubt, you got a very bad result, and I really feel for you. And the extra treatments, micro needing, Doing nothing, either. It really seems right to me that when thei so obviously fail, they owe at least a refund, but they just do it, oksy, maybe a poor responder has no great effects—thst, I guess I can understand. I’ve had a few of those, but to wind up with damage clearly caused by their work? Why don’t they step up and rectify this?

The good news I have to share with you is that I had a Halo Pro this spring, and it is very, very good. It will brighten your skin, shrink pores, and it should help with scares and uneven complexion. I think you might be ni sky surprised. It’s not bad fo reviver from, either.

I hope things go well for you.I completely understand what it does to your frame of mind. P,ease don’t give up hope. The Halo might just help a lot.

Ugh, typos.

Remind myself not to SMILE too big because of the overfilled fat grafting.

I quit smoking years ago.

I think you might be **nicely surprised** by the Halo.

Something similar happened to me but on my face, my skin is darker in the area and it has been four months post. It’s so frustrating to see yourself like that every day.
August 12, 2021
I agree… It’s very disturbing to deal with every day! Have you gone to see another dermatologist?
August 20, 2021
You might want to find the best cosmetic dermatologist to talk to about Halo Pro laser too. It got rid of dark patches in my face.

Thanks so much. I am scheduled for halo on September 2nd. Is this a more advanced version?
