Forehead Wrinkle Treatment

I am 43 and have never had any cosmetic work on my forehead aside from microneedling with PRP. I have been leery of Botox/Dysport because I hate the "frozen" look that so often results. The clinic that did my PRP facials and Juvederm on my lower face recommended the Halo laser for my lines but that's a big investment. I happened to see a Groupon deal for plasma pen & decided to try it first. I figure that if I don't see enough improvement, I can always go ahead and get the Halo done.
I did a patch test of the plasma pen and the scabs lasted for exactly 7 days. As soon as they fell off, I couldn't see where they had been. So I decided to go ahead with the full procedure.
I was surprised by how painful the procedure was even with numbing cream on. The patch test wasn't bad at all but I guess that was just a small area. The burning flesh smell was awful, as the patch test had been as well. After the numbing cream wore off, the scabs itched like crazy. I took an antihistamine as directed, and felt better.
24 hours later, my forehead feels tight and somewhat itchy. It's far too soon to tell if the treatment has helped as it takes time for it to stimulate new collagen. I was told 6-12 weeks to see results.

Starting to heal, no change yet in wrinkles
CrimsonWifeSeptember 2, 2020
I am now 5 days post-procedure. The scabs are starting to fall off. My forehead skin feels tighter but I don't see any changes yet in the horizontal lines. I know it takes time for the underneath layer to form new collagen and am hopeful that I will see improvement in a few weeks.
I have to say that the treated area was INSANELY itchy up through yesterday even with taking antihistamines. I don't have particularly sensitive skin and haven't reacted to things like OTC retinols or AHA/BHA's. Given the pain of the procedure and the itchiness for several days afterwards, I really hope that I see some nice results.

Still not impressed. If you haven't had a patch test done yet, I would strongly recommend it because some people get hyper- or hypo pigmentation from plasma pen and are left with visible dots. I didn't experience that fortunately so I'm just out the cost of the procedure.

Scabs are gone, forehead skin feels tighter

The good news is that the scabs have all fallen off and I don''t think I have any residual hyperpigmentation. So the worst case outcome at this point is being out the cost of the procedure. I'm hoping for an improvement in the horizontal lines but it's still too soon to tell.
