WORTH IT$8,000
It seems like a lifetime ago that i had my TT, but wow, it has only been 3.5 months. I have to say now the HARDEST part is . . . well, keeping the weight off. I've probably gained back about 2 lbs or so of the weight I lost (no biggie) -- but I am constantly thinking, Oh man, I really have to work out - to look good/feel good, and because I just invested a lot of money in myself, and I really don't want to feel like a failure! lol! It is hard bc my skin has "relaxed" over the last few months (I think this is normal), and I had read about other girls who dealt with "rolls" on their belly….yup! guess what?! when I sit down, my skin still has some roll to it now. Obviously when I look back at my old belly rolls, there is NO comparison, and I know I look 1,000x better! But still, psychologically, it is difficult. . . I want to stay lean and trim, and sometimes I feel like my stomach is just going to go back to the old stomach. I guess a lot of us deal with this, but it is hard! But I still ABSOLUTELY LOVE my tummy tuck - the best thing I have ever done for myself..I only say this bc I am guessing a lot of people deal with this afterwards, once things "calm down" and your body relaxes.

Otherwise, all is well -- I really want the scar to fade, as it still seems pretty bright. Any suggestions? But the scar is totally flat, so I guess I will just wait it out. I tried those silicone sheets, and I really did not like them. They seemed to do nothing, even after a few weeks/month, and in fact, one area of my scar was irritated. Argh …I am doing full ab routines, and I have been for about two months. I have absolutely no issues with recovery/working out/etc…. Everything is still great!!

Ha! Thanks! Yeah, it wasn't so bad to begin with, especially if I had it tucked into a good Spanx. lol. . . but I just got so tired of always hiding/wearing spanx/doing a million sit ups for nothing…. but man, my stomach loves to gain weight, so it still isn't like I have a six-pack. lol. I wish.

The hardest thing for me is that I've gained some weight back a few months out - so it is just softer, in general (I didn't gain a lot of weight …just a few). But I was shocked to see how I felt soooo awesome like 6 days out, and now I go back and look at those pics, and I was still really swollen! lol. . .it just kept getting better and better. But darn, it does not mean I can eat/drink whatever I want, unfortunately. Argh.

Yeah, I did not think the pain was nearly as bad as my c-section pain….and I had totally heard the pain was WORSE than c-section…just not true for me. And I heard a mini-tuck is even easier, pain-wise….so Good Luck!!

Love your bikinis. What brand are they? The top is super cute.

Oops - I didn't get notifications about the new comments. Argh! The bikinis are from those kind of cheesy beach shops, Surf Style (I think that's the brand too).. . They are all over Florida, especially on the west coast beaches. They are kind of knock offs of the Body Glove bikinis (also sold in cheesy beach shops). .. . anyway, I love them! Thanks!

How Clothes Fit

floridabikinimom
I just looked thru my pics, and I really cannot believe the change! But the most important thing is how my clothes fit! I just dreaded putting anything on with a buttoned waist….now I don't. And I really thought I wasn't swollen at 12 days, but now I look back, and I am way better now than then!! I'll post the green shorts again, and it may not look that different - but they FEEL so much more loose. It is just an awesome feeling to be able to wear clothes without always tugging and struggling.

One Month Post-Op Update: Back Working Out!

floridabikinimom
I got the OK to work out about a month after surgery. I was sooo happy -- I am about 7-8 lbs down from pre-surgery, but I definitely want to get back going on the workouts!! I took it easy at the gym - the running just kind of moves the stomach a lot. But I did squats, lunges, running, arms…. and I was just sore bc I hadn't worked out for a month. Otherwise, it was fine! I don't wear the compression garment anymore, thank goodness. Everything is going well - the scar is healing. There is still some stretching on the sides, but the doc said that will continue to loosen up over the next few months. I found some bikinis that cover my scar, but that is still an issue, generally -- who knew my vajay would lift too high?!! But having a shorter scar (Rather than hip to hip) is a lifesaver -- even string bikinis are fine. SO overall, I am feeling great and cannot wait for the scar to fade and my tummy to smooth out even more.
