I had an IPL laser treatment 4 days ago and I think I was burnt. I don't think these are normal and I'm trying not to panic because what good it's that gonna do but hoping I didn't just create a problem that wasn't there. If you have any feedback I'd appreciate it. Some of the "coffee grounds" have flaked off but my real worry is my forehead.

I don't blame you for getting worried, but from my experience you need to give it some time. I've had IPl treatments. Sometimes I get just the coffee ground effect and there have been times I've gotten marks like yours plus swelling. For me, it went away but took a little time. If you don't see it healing day to day, please check with the place where you had this done and ask them about it. I know it's scary at this point, but I really think you will heal fine.
I've had the same experience after IPL treatments. It takes a few weeks for it to heal. My skin is so nice now. Be patient.
Thanks. It's getting better. Thinking I was too tan.
What products did you use after the IPL treatment?
While IPL done properly should not result in marks like that, 4 days is too early to tell if you will have any lasting adverse effect. Keep the burns moist w/ vaseline, and be sure to NOT get any sun at all. Use good spf50+ block, hats, shade, etc. Call the place where you had it done, send them selfies if necessary.
Where did you have it done?
If these are purple marks they will go away , just takes time , maybe 2 weeks, I also had quite a bit of swelling and ended up on prednisone to reduce it, liked the results once everything settled down
