Jett, I used Dr. Harris also. LOVE him! Are you happy with your results?

I am more than happy with my results. I plan on going back to him soon for some lipo. Have you been to their new office yet?

Yes, I went there about 3 weeks post op and will be there this Thursday for a follow up. Dr. Harris performed a face lift on me 8 years ago and I have been so happy with it. He also did full abdomenal lipo on me 5 years ago and told me then I would need a tummy tuck afterwards but he didn't do both at the same time. After having gone through the tummy tuck, and the extended recovery, I totally agree with his reluctance to do both at the same time. Have you been to the new office? If not, I can tell you how to get there.

17 Days Post Op: Honestly, this surgery has not been near as bad as I anticipated. I started back to work on half days about 7 DPO and full time on day 12. I am standing fully upright but I am still a little stiff in the mornings. My tummy tuck is not bothering me at all but the incisions from my "lollipop" cut are hurting where my bra is rubbing. I am literally putting panty liners in my bra to help relive the friction.

The doctor said that everything looked good at my 2 week appt and that is when he told me to begin massaging my lipo areas and my breasts. I am so pleased with my results so far. My breasts are still high but my tummy tuck area doesn't seem to be too swolen.

FYI: I asked the nurse which type of bandages were better since the doctor gave paper tape to cover my incisions. She indicated that she could see the difference in patients using the silicon tape vs. the paper tape. So, I am using silicone tape and changing that out once a week until I hit my 3 month mark.

***I'll post pics soon***

I suppose I was one of the lucky few that did not have to feel with drains so I can't help you there. My doc said that he only uses drains when someone is undergoing a full body lift or has more skin to remove than what is typically found in a tummy tuck. Overall, how are you feeling? I bet you look awesome. Let me know how your appt goes.

1 week post op:

Went to my appt today and the nurse said that everything looks great. I will meet the doc again in about 6 days and we will begin the scar therapy and the breast massages. After my appt, I returned to my desk job and my nurse said that was fine as long as I felt up to it but definately not to over do it. I can tell you, that I had no idea I would feel this good so soon after surgery. I am still swollen and my implants are still high but the summer is coming and I'm sure I'll look awesome just in time.

Now that it's Jan. 14, how are you doing? Are you going to post some pictures of the new you? I'm having surgery on Jan 27th. I'm glad that you're feeling better...that's inspiring to those of us who haven't gone through it yet!
