Two Weeks Post Op

I am two weeks since surgery. To be honest, it hasn't been easy. I am thinking it is because I did implants and the nipple reduction. Recovery after surgery was not what I expected at all. I threw up multiple times after I woke up. They gave me something thru my iv but it didn't seem to help. Finally got it under control. The pain meds and muscle relaxers were hard on me too. I took them on time every time the first two days....even found an ap that gave me reminders for each. I felt queezy and had no appetite and was about as loopy as they come, so I quit taking them on day three. While I did get up and move around a little, there wasn't much I could do. It took about a week to feel like I got over the main hump. At my one week check up. All looked great, but then they had to remove stitches...in incisions and nipples. One of the incision stitches was stuck and took hard core yanking to get it out. The nipple stitches weren't quite ready but I didn't want to drive back so they removed with strict instructions to keep bandaged and dry. At this point, my nipples are healed, bandages off, no scabs. They aren't exactly what I had wanted, but realistically, I don't know how possible that was. I feel like they look much better and much more appropriately sized. I also started massages which I thought would hurt but really doesn't at all....implant massages that is. I do them at least twice a day. Soreness is minimal at this point with the implants. However my nipples and the area around them is extremely sore and sensitive. It almost feels like a combination of deep bruising and bad sunburn. My hope is that it's nerves healing and will calm with time. I found myself having boob greed for the first time today which is silly because I went as big as he would let me. They look fantastic naked but not real noticeable under a T-shirt. Honestly, that's the exact outcome I wanted but I guess boob greed sneaks in. I think they'll be perfect once I can dress them up with nice bras. I am getting ancy to workout again. I feel like I am loosing tone and my tummy stays bloated looking...not cute. I am being very careful to let my body heal right so am following all my doctors rules still but my mind is ready to get back to running. I still have more healing to do but I am so glad to be two weeks out. My first week was so hard. I am back to driving normaly, grocery shopping, cleaning, cooking...most of the normal daily activities....some still just a little slower.

Hi your result is very similar to mine, I'm 10 days po today and like you can't wait to get back to my normal routine, boobs also feel very sore and tender but not bad enough that I need pain meds! I've slept fine until last night when my back was agony, need to do a big stretch to stretch it out but can't! Hope you continue to heal well x

Same here. I have days that my back is killing me. I have always been a tummy sleeper so I think being on my back at night is tensing things up. Today feels less sore so hopefully all that will be a thing of the past. I really don't care to take pain pills but have found that a few nights a week, Tylenol before bed helps me when I'm sore.

I'm ready to work out again too. I don't run, mainly do weights and HIIT workouts, but I'm starting some lower body workouts this week with no weights. It's killing me not doing anything and I'm definitely losing muscle definition and tone. I think it will help with the emotions too since I'll feel like I'm doing something for my body instead of feeling sorry for my pouchy stomach lol.

Those are the two things I need to start doing. I know hiit works very well for me and I love it although I could only do it 2-3 times a week or I stayed hungry and exhausted. I tone easily and need to do weights but I really don't know how. It's so much easier to just go run. I've been walking, doing lunges, and squats, but I can tell I'm falling behind. I can tell my muscles are still healing, so trying to allow that to happen as quick as possible. I did my hiit at home using bodyrock video posts on my phone. They are my favorite for what works for me. Do you have a certain hiit trainer or video series you use or is yours gym? I live in a small town so there isn't a good hiit class available.

Before kids, I lifted at the gym and loved it, but now, with working at home for our business, I do all of my workouts from home. I've done some videos in the past like 30 Day Shred, but mainly do Bodyrock now. I love that they are so short and kick my butt most of the time if I do them twice in a row. My only issue now with the surgery is that Bodyrock is so chest heavy (pushups, burpees, etc.) , I don't know when I'll get back to it. I'll probably just do abs and legs (they have a good abs and butt program) for a while and work in arms, then chest in 4-6 weeks. But right now, mainly doing the same thing as you - lunges, squats, and trying to slowing work in abs. I'm going to start using my Bosu trainer again this week, so hopefully I can see some results in the next several weeks on my legs, which is where I store most of my fat. And I'm so jealous you're a runner. I hate cardio...

Isn't it weird how they look so much smaller in clothing? I really miss the gym too and yoga. I realized that with my summers off that's really all I do is workout and now it's like ..." What do I do now?"

Thank you! Getting life back to normal more each day. Now if I could get some sun. Still very sore. Sleeping on my tummy my entire life is kicking my rear. I didn't get a one week update in but hopefully will get a two week in. Hope you're doing well also.

I'm hoping to get some sun on this pasty body this weekend too! :) All is well here. I had my first post-op appointment yesterday and everything is perfect. These past two days have felt pretty normal with minimal discomfort and soreness (still taking Tylenol twice a day), and I'm starting to adjust to actually having boobs!

Ha...maybe that's my problem. I haven't even been taking Tylenol! The prescriptions made me sooo sick I quit those by day three and took Tylenol a couple times after that then quit. I think I'll try a dose tonight and see if I sleep better. My friend said Tylenol pm works great to help sleep but I am a minimalist (wimp) when it comes to medications. I'll try some Tylenol extra strength tonight. You may be on to something. Lol.
