I'm a nurse and a Healthcare Adminstrator. After months of research about the lip lift procedure, I decided to go with Dr. Harris. There was only one previous review/picures on lip lifts on real self by a real client who used Dr. Harris (not a photo uploaded to this site by the Dr.). I loved the results, his almost 30 years of experience, reviews of other procedures to determine his overall ability as a surgeon along with his personality, bedside manner and professional conduct. I determined that he was highly skilled and a concerned doctor.
I consulted with other renowned doctors who wanted to remove muscle and skin (MUSCLE- I was like " no way"- LESS IS MORE) and some who did not have longterm positive reviews. (Don't just look at recent reviews.) You have to go back and you have to look around and investigate these doctors to determine the best well rounded doctor.
After all of my research and me choosing Dr. Harris resulted in the best experience ever.
The procedure was painless, I took a total of one Valium and one pain tab one hour before the 45 minute procedure and half a pain tab 2 hours later just because I was afraid that there would be pain. Absolutely, I had no pain or discomfort. The first two days, I had a lot of swelling. Day 3 and 4, almost 95% of the swelling was gone. Day 7, I have about 1% remain swelling with slight redness to area, no scar but I can barely see the incision line. Everything is healing fine.
My biggest FEAR was to trust a doctor to perform surgery on my FACE. I highly recommend Dr. Harris. He has tons of lip lifts experience and his prices are AFFORDABLE.
I know that it took alot for me to find the right doctor so I'm trying to help someone else by sharing my experience.

Thank you for your review!
Congratulations on your results! What a difference this procedure makes!
Did you have the endonasal lip lift?
It appears you had about 8 mm removed, is it correct? How many days post op? How is your incision looking? Any concerns?
Did you have the same amount of skin removed in the center and under the nostrils?
If it's not too much trouble, would you mind posting a closeup photo of the incision area? Thank you in advance ,
Will be looking forward to your updates.

Yes, I had the endonasal lip lift. Sutures were removed Thursday (3 days ago). Nothing visible with incision line other than slight redness. The left side has not healed as fast as the front and right. Cleaning with peroxide/water and applying Vaseline. The left side is slightly darker but it is gradually lighting up. I don't know the exact amount removed during the procedure. Everything is definitely well balanced and symmetrical. Yes, I will post another picture tomorrow. No concerns whatsoever. I was surprised how well the incision is healing, no scaring and no pain. I just had a lot of swelling but I got plenty of rest, avoided sodium and used lots of ice on my face. On the photos that I posted I tried to line up lip so that everyone could see the difference. I have been going back and forth about this procedure for months. I'm so happy that it is done and turn out excellent.

Thank you for your reply!
I've been researching lip lift for years now, and based on my research Dr Harris is the only PS I would consider for this procedure. I am very happy for you, and hope you continue to heal well.
Maybe it's too early in your recovery to answer this question, but I am wondering if you noticed any distortion/ change of your nostrils, nasal base.
Thank you

Thank you for the review. I am considering this procedure and live in the DFW area but I'm scared :)

Outweigh the pros and cons. Look at pictures of yourself to determine if you can continue to love your pictures without the lip lift. I hated my pictures before. My upper lip distance was too much for me to continue to deal with. The hardest part for was not if I was going to do the surgery but more so what doctor was best to do my surgery.

You have a lovely result. I also have too much space between lower base of nose and upper lip. I had never even heard of this procedure before, but frankly have a concern about scarring (I'm a person of color)- are you, also? And if so, being a nurse, what did you to minimize this possibility? My skin darkens when injured-can take months to resolve. Thank you!

I had some mild hyperpigmentation on the sides of my nose. The hyperpigmentation went away after 4 weeks. I did have a slight raised area on the left side only. I massaged it and now it is gone. The doctor's office is equipped to handle any issues. I have no complaints.

Thank you for the update.
Sorry to hear about the scarring, how bad is it? Can you cover it with makeup?
Can you post a photo?

Try microneedling. That really helped my raised scr go away. It took about a year and several sessions with laser and microneedling. (but make sure you go to a great dermatologist who understands your skin tone)
