Swelling

I'm worried about gwtting the splint off now, my tip looks really swollen underneath! How long before I'll see swelling decrease significantly?? All comments are appreciated :)

Day of surgery, Day 2 and Day 3 post-op

December 3rd my husband drove me to the surgery center at 6:00 am. I was a nervous wreck but a Xanax helped relieve a bit of my anxiety. Surgery began at 7:30 and I cannot recall much of the 24 hours after that. I woke up for bits and pieces of time but largely slept the first 24 hours after surgery.

Day 2 was surprisingly smooth. My nose was tender but honestly I was shocked by how little pain I felt. I had no nausea and I napped off and on throughout the day, which was really nice. I was so encouraged to be doing so well....

Then came Day 3. I woke up with a headache but didn't think much of it. I was completely exhausted and by the afternoon my mild headache was debilitating. I couldn't move or the pain of the headache would be so severe I thought I would throw up and I did NOT want to do that. I called my nurse and she recommended I take a nasal decongestant. This helped some, thank God. I slept off and on and through the night and was so thankful to awake the next day without really as much pain. I think the worst is over.
