The next stage of healing...
I've entered the hypersensitive/itchy stage of healing. OMG!!!
I am using shea body butter on and around the breasts, I bought a seam free, wire free, molded bra. The bra is helping to keep the breasts immobile, as any movement or touch on the breasts and nipples is very uncomfortable. Can anyone tell me how long this stage lasted in there recovery or give me some tips on how to get thru this?
My chest cold is about gone. YEA!!!! No more coughing and disturbing the healing girls.
I am feeing better every day, I can't believe it's been two weeks since the BR. There are times l look down and am surprised at how small I am. I started the journey hoping to end up a 36C. My PS said the best outcome would be in the D range. Well my new bra I got yesterday is a 36D. I bet once the swelling in down a 36C might be possible. I just can't convey how happy this makes me.

Sounds great, you can take an allergy relief tablet to tone down the itching. I have been really lucky, no major issues with itching or zingers. I think my boobs are sulking quietly since this was my second BR! They won a battle but I won the war, ha ha!

Lucky lucky lady!! I will try a Benadryl. My boobs are definitely in full revolt right now.

I'm doing better every day. So far, no unpleasant surprises, no numbness, my nipples are definitely reactive and hypersensitive. I'm still pretty tired, I guess most of that is from this chest cold. My next post op visit is on 3/21.
I went thru some old clothes I have to look for some button down shirts to wear during my recovery. I found a shirt I had bought many years ago and it hasn't fit me in over 15 yrs. What the heck I tried it on and it looks great! I can't wait to go out shopping for some new clothes. Before I always looked heavy in every picture, it was those stupid boobies. This might incent me to lose the last 10 extra pounds.

I found getting into old clothes is more fun than buying new ones because you only hold onto something that does not fit because you really love it!

Exactly! I had given away ALL my size 8 and 10 clothes years ago. I just couldn't bear to part with this whimsical shirt. I was so amazing putting it on and buttoned it was still a bit loose across the bust. I am guessing will be able to buy size 10 dresses and shirts now. Over the last 2 years I lost 29 pounds. So good bye over sized clothes. My bust made me look huge even after the weight lose. So frustrating. It's time for a slimmer fitting wardrobe. I haven't had the energy to go shopping yet. I will wait until I feel better and can enjoy the experience

My main reason for the BR was the way it made me look so fat and did not get any smaller if I lost weight. Yes, I had lower back pain but I did not believe it was my boobs. Well it has disappreared. I also had shoulder grooves and sweaty rashes underneath. But above all it was how they made me look, knowing that it was the first thing people noticed about me, that was what really bothered me the most For me it has been 30% physical benefot and 70% psychological benefit.

Most of what you write could be written by me. We have parallel stories. Your are just a bit ahead of me in the healing department.

You sound just like me. Enjoy the new you - my only regret is that I didn't have it done sooner.

I was so upset because in nov before I knew I was having the surgery I got a zumba shirt. Iove zumba. I realised I got a xl not xxl there bust in the shirts runs small. I totally forgot about it till I was going through my closet thurs.I tried it on and it fits. I almost started crying. I also tried zumba again and what a change with smaller boobs. I wish I did this sooner. It is changing my whole life and I could not ask for more

So glad for you. I was dancing around the house to the radio and was doing OK until I tried a sort of shoulder shaking shimmy and my boobs said "not yet please!!!!"

I still have to mainly focus on hip shaking. Even though they said I can fully work out I need to listen to my body especially with the sores. So its been baby steps but five ten min is better than nothing! Some yoga I still can't do but I'm only 10 weeks I have time. I still have my shoulder injury so I'm use to revising work outs to fit me. Doing the just dance wit the kids was fun there like missa now you won't get a black eye from your boobs! No idea where they got that from but I could not stop laughing. They were so happy since its been 3 months since I have played games!

Sounds like you are doing great! It will be so much fun shopping for new clothes and realizing you can fit into much smaller clothes. Amazing how much heavier we looked.
