!! How are you doing now?! My surgeon was worried about redness in my new belly button too, and I go back tomorrow for my two week checkup. I'm hoping he's satisfied with the way it looks tomorrow. I get nervous every time I'm cleaning it. I'm very happy for you to have taken this journey to a better you! I'm most certainly glad I chose to as well. Best wishes!

Been 2 months since my surgery, have lost 35.5 lbs, which 20 was from my surgery!! Belly button issues was not infection! Whew!!!! Still have swelling from time to time but I think it is on days when I have over done it!
I had an opening pop up just below my incision & above my pubic area. Have been having to go weekly to get it debred, not pleasant but it is almost healed!
I am still on Percocet but take it maybe twice a day. Doctor has decreased the strength which is taking a little getting used to! All in all for a 56 yr old, I think I'm doing pretty darn good!!

Big high five to you! Sounds like you're doing very well. If you're anything like me, you can't be inactive. A few days after my hysterectomy, I was cleaning the house. I paid for that later.
Keep up the good work and I hope you have a relaxing Thanksgiving.

3 Month Anniversary!!
Three month anniversary & feeling WONDERFUL! I still get pretty swollen the day after I have done a Zumba class or maybe overdone it with house chores!
I still have hard lumps around my new navel area & below the belly button area. Doc said it is normal & my body will absorb them. Not on any pain meds, I do take Advil from time to time for soreness. My new belly button is finally starting to look normal, it is starting to sink in!! Also still am numb above my pubic area & both my hips.
Will post some pics over the holidays!!
