Congratulations! Love how you are getting prepared. Are you on the liquid protein diet yet? If so, how is it going? I'm scheduled for surgery the day before you are. We will be taking this adventure at the same time.

Hi there, welcome and thanks so much for sharing your journey with us!

Wow, it won't be long now until the big day, are you all prepared? Are you having to dot he pre-op liquid diet?

Please do keep us updated with your progress!
Hi Kirsty, I am very much prepared, I have the vitamins, broths, jello, protein supplements and sugar free popsicles for the 1st phase. I will continue to purchase more items so that I do not run out of supplies. Though I am not required to do a liquid diet, I am going to start one on Monday and again the week before surgery. I do not know many people that have had it (sleeve) so i am relying on the information from the nutritionist and others in this community to serve as inspiration and reference.
Glad you're getting prepared! :-) If you feel like reading it, I keep a pretty comprehensive account of my surgery and pre/post-op life. You can read my review, here.

There's also a good group conversation going on in the forum, here.
Hi! It sounds like you are ready for sure. I don't know anyone who had the sleeve either except for those that I've read about on this site. As Kirsty has (which I've read all of them), I've also tried to keep a running log of my experience(s). Let me know if you have any questions or need some help. Remember to be patient with the process. It's like being pregnant -- there are similarities but everyone experiences it in a different way. Good luck and let me know if you need some verbal encouragement!
Can't wait to see how & what you utilize during the liquid phase. I will be following in your footsteps!
So far I have purchased; sugar free jello, low sodium chicken and vegetable broth (10g protein) liquid crystal light and isopure protein liquid(40g protein). I have started sampling these things in advance so that my body can be adjusted. I hope it will cut out any aversion to them. I have 2oz cups and also 4oz bowls to help with portion control & waste.
Verbal encouragement is ALWAYS welcome. I am just looking forward to my body "rebirth" I am having surgery at UPMC Magee ...these 19 days in wait will be utilized as preparation and goodbyes to my old self
Great attitude!
