My surgery is scheduled for 11/13/14. I am so excited and nervous. I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old, and am thankful to have the help and support of my mom, husband, and mother in law. I am getting a TT, lipo, and BA. 350cc on right, 325 on left, silicone under the muscle. Support is welcome! :)

Welcome to RS and congrats on taking the first step in scheduling your surgery and gathering the support group you'll need to help you the first 3-4 days. 11/13 is right around the corner so make sure you eat clean from now until the, drink lots of water, double up on your multivitamins and iron, and do your squats to get your legs ready for surgery (you'll need them for the TT). Just a suggestion, I'd go a bit larger on the BA bcz you're larger-boned. Read my review to help you with your prep lists and anything else you'll need before sx. Good luck on your journey! :)

I'm afraid of going too big with the BA. My original thought was 400-450, and my surgeon suggested 250! With less of a waist after a TT I don't think I'll have to compensate as much with the boobs. What size do you think?

As my husb said when I went in - Go big or go home! ;p I went to 3 consults. My first consult said 250, too! Crazy guy. My mom is a recovery nurse and she said no less than 400 (given that I'm medium-boned). The PS I went with said I could go up to 700-800 if I wanted to, but he recommended 550. Anything higher than 600 is risky (age, gravity, and health factors). I would suggest 375-400 for you to keep you proportional.

My personal opinion...most PS are conservative when it comes to implants. That size implant under the muscle is not that large. Of course implants weigh more the larger they get, etc etc. Putting "sizers" in your bra does not necessarily equate with with the look you end up with. If you can find before pics of what your breasts look like and chest measurements(under your breasts all the way around your body or the ones PS use in determining what size implants will fit your chest area) equal to yoursI think you get a better idea. I had 350cc when I weighed 100 lbs. As I got heavier my implants got larger (replaced for age, not problems). Last ones in 2001, 550cc. I would suggest at least 100cc bigger on each side for you, if your chest adequate. Are you having any type of lift? Internal bra(stitches not mesh etc) can help prevent some ongoing sagging. So many women end up disappointed with the size/look of their breasts after spending a lot of money and being uncomfortable after surgery. Good luck!

I am not having a lift as I do not want the scars. I know mine sag a bit but I'm ok with it. I think it will give me a "mature" look. :)

Good luck to you! I am also a 'burgh girl! :-) I'm still in the "need to convince hubby" stage of my tt research. Lol I'm excited to watch your journey! Praying for the best for you. What was the consult like?

I had a few consults and just felt so comfortable with Dr. Wooten. I felt she has the same goals as me. It's all very exciting, but the closer I get the more nervous I get!

Trouble deciding on size

Pghmom
I'm starting to get really nervous about recovery. Wondering how my kids are going to deal with it. Wondering how I'll deal with not being able to be myself and do everything I usually do for them. I'm lucky to have such great support. I'm also so confused about size. My husband thinks I should go with 400cc's, my Dr. is trying to convince me to go small. I don't want gigantic breasts because I don't want it to be obvious that I had this done. I just want them to be full and natural looking. I'm leaning towards 375 in the right breast and 350 in the left. I just want to get it right and love my results.

Think I said it before, but 450cc and 475cc would probably be a better fit..those "sizers" always seem to look bigger than the actual implant put under muscle...find a body pic that looks like you and ck out what size under muscle they used and if they are happy with the end results. Ck PS redo policy to see how much change if you are not happy with results,

Dr. Wooden did my breast aug with left in April and she suggested 450 CCs to take my droopy B cup to a perky DD'S. I am a larger framed athletic built women and they are perfect...they don't look fake big but proportionate for my body style...I am 6 months out and my true size now is a 34 DDD...but I usually can only find 36 DD. I am so happy with my results...the staff at her office has been wonderful...any time I had a question or concern they always made time to either get me in or call me back. Good luck!!!

Very anxious! 15 days pre op.

Pghmom
Went to my pre op visit yesterday and made a decision on implant size. I am going with Sientra silicone gel textured implants. Round, moderate profile, both 385cc's. We also decided that since I have little to no muscle separation that I will not be getting muscle plication (muscle tightening). If it's not broke, don't fix it! This should shorten my recovery time. I went to the pharmacy today to buy a list of supplies I will need during recovery and all this is making it very real for me. I'm so nervous about the pain! They also told me that since my surgery will be about 6 hours, I will have a breathing tube in place. Crazy! Hoping this all goes smoothly!

How did tmshe determine the degree of your muscle seperation? When I've done the "finger test" laying down doing crunches, I can for three fingers in between the two muscle bands. I'm curious if you did that test yourself?
October 29, 2014
Yes, when I do this test myself I can only fit one fingertip in the widest part.
October 30, 2014
Okay, so it's reasonable for me to expect that when I do go for a consult, muscle repair is Probly in my future. :-( oh well, I kind if suspected that. Thanks for the info though! So excited for you, you're so close now!
October 30, 2014
Thanks! I'm still nervous even though my recovery will be less without the muscle repair. What I read is that if you can fit two fingers or 1 1/2 cm in the gap then you have diastasis recti (muscle separation) which will need to be repaired for optimal results. Good luck to you!
