Explant and Lift...Very Happy!

Five months post-op

WORTH IT$8,900
Hello ladies! I haven't posted anything for awhile, and since tomorrow is my twenty week post-op day, I thought I would provide an update. Overall, I remain very pleased. The scars are definitely fading, and I continue to use Serica scar gel twice daily. Like others have said, your breasts definitely continue to change for several months. Mine are definitely not as plump as they initially were, I assume that was due to some post-op swelling. But I'm still wearing the 36C bra's that I got six weeks after my surgery.. And my left breast, which has been my "problem child" all along, since I first got implants, has several hard lumps of necrotic tissue, despite the fact that I massage it several times a day. And it is also starting to develop a slight crease right where my cleavage is, which is exactly where the crease was when I had implants. So, I must have some loose skin there still. I've also noticed that my breasts are taking on that "box-shaped" look that can happen when you get a full anchor lift.
Nevertheless, when I look at my pre-explant/lift photo's, I still think my plastic surgeon is a freakin' miracle worker! And I continue to be thrilled with the improvement in my appearance and my self-confidence without those huge, pendulous breasts weighing me down. I just returned from an anniversary trip to the Carribean with my husband, and it was so wonderful to feel comfortable wearing a bathing suit in public, wearing sexy little bra's in private, and not having to dress to conceal my breasts all the time! Speaking of my husband, he's a big fan of the "new me!"
Wishing all you lovely ladies a beautiful and happy holiday!

Hey! Hey! Look at how far you've come! Your scars are flattening nicely. I feel ya on the shrinkage and dents appearing. I have one that resembles a crescent moon on the inside of my left cleavage but like you said it was there when the implants were. I am just shocked at how pretty your outcome is. Here's what I'll tell you. Since we had the surgery and we have been watching our breasts on an almost daily basis we are hyper critical for sure. I don't see boxy at all. Your vertical incisions will continue to fade and the hard spots will soften. Mine are almost all gone. Some of what you're feeling might be scar tissue or capsule. I am keeping up the high protein diet, drinking bone broth and I started taking biotin for my skin. We are healthy, we are beautiful and we are blessed!
Girl...you are so right!! And I have you to thank for getting me to Dr. Alvarez!!! I'm so grateful!
You really look amazing!!! Congratulations and have fun shopping!!! How exciting for you!!!
Thank you!
Your scars healed so beautifully! Your natural breasts are so much prettier than the implants! Thank you for your story! You are an inspiration!
You're welcome! Actually if you look at the very first picture I posted at the beginning of my review, (the picture of me 16 years ago, prior to getting implants, you'll see that I didn't start out with such pretty natural breasts, which is why I got the implants to begin with. But between some weight gain and a plastic surgeon who is an absolute artist, I'm really pleased with the results! I'm 63 years old and these are the nicest boobs I've ever had!!!
thanks for posting. look great! ill be getting the lift done in march/April.
Good luck to you! Its such a transformative journey! And the community of women on RS who have experienced it are so incredibly supportive! Please reach out if you need anything at all!
You look beautiful, Dogmama! I’m almost two months post, and love my naturals, too. I’m healed well enough to break stock tank ice with a sledgehammer.

Bathing Suit Shopping!!!!

I continue to have the most amazing, transformative wardrobe shopping experiences since my explant and lift 9 and 1/2 weeks ago. I have been invited to a friend's beach house in Florida later this month. in the past, shopping for bathing suits had always been a tortuous experience which left me feeling depressed and disgusted with my body. I was always searching for bathing suit tops that would hide my huge, ugly breasts and was extremely self-conscious about my appearance in a bathing suit. Plus, it was virtually impossible to find a suit that fit me both on the top and the bottom. I had resorted to shopping on the website "Swimsuits for All," (which is a really great website started by plus sized model Ashley Graham), where I could get tankini's sold as separates. For me, that meant a size 10 bottom and a size 14 top, with an underwire bra.
Yesterday, I went bathing suit shopping in person, picked a few size 10 bathing suits off the rack, and THEY FIT PERFECTLY!!!! I'm not kidding when I say that I almost cried in the dressing room. I got a one piece and a tankini, both of which I loved. It will be the first time IN YEARS that I will be comfortable being seen in public in a bathing suit. Cannot wait to hit the beach in a few days!

Ooops....I am actually 12 and 1/2 weeks post surgery. Time flies when you're having fun!
I am so happy for you, and I look forward to getting this behind me. Thanks so much.
You're welcome! You will be amazed at how life seems so much better without implants!
You look fantastic!!!
Thank you! I feel pretty fantastic, too! Not carrying all that weight around on my chest has done wonders!
Hope you had fun on the beach with the girls! That sounds so relaxing right now
pre-implants I would shop in the teens section for tops and grown women section for bottoms unless I wanted to just wear a one piece. I don't swim a lot so really have no need for swimsuits but the couple of one pieces I have surprisingly still looks good with my A cups versus my old 34C/34D boobs. Hope all is going well with you =)
Thank you! I need to update my photo's. Everything is going well, but I have shrunk a little bit more, which I'm fine with. Everyone has said to expect your breasts to continue changing for at least 6 to 12 months, and I'm only 4 months post explant and lift. Hope you're doing well, too!
I’m 4 weeks today and I’ve shrunk but if I suck in my stomach they still stick out more. Think I’m a B cup. When can i quit sleeping in these damn squeeze bras?
Lol that's Me! I suck in my tummy and can see my boobs. You.re much bigger than I am tho. I'm 28 days and my PS said I no longer have to sleep in bras but I have one on now because my loose boobies pull on my incisions. Do u feel that way when walking around free? My incisions are my only problem now but it's not bad
I am...I think I'm at where I'll be now
I’m sleeping in a squeezer and in a regular bra in the day. Don’t go without because they feel tender still. No running!!! No problem with scar area The new scars ar bigger than old scars I think because doc had so much digging to do. They are like smileys. Still tender under arms.
Loved reading your adventurous story. Very uplifting! :) Your encouragement and kindness for taking us through your journey is very much appreciated. Your breasts look fantastic! Thank you for the advise of the scar prevention gel 2x a day. Glad you have a supportive husband. You both seem like sweethearts!

Bra shopping

I had the most shopping experience this weekend. I went to TJ Maxx, picked a bra off the rack in size 36C, (well, actually it was two bra's sold as a duo), and miraculously it fit and felt totally comfortable! This was something I NEVER could have done prior to having my implants removed. Bra shopping was always a stressful, arduous process trying to find something that wasn't digging into my ribs and shoulders. The bra's I bought were labelled "T shirt Bra." So here's a picture of the bra and me wearing a t shirt. I continue to be thrilled with the results of my surgery and the improvement in my appearance. (Although now that I no longer have the big boobs projecting out from my chest, my belly seems bigger! Guess I'll have to do start doing more sit-ups!)

First sentence supposed to read " most amazing shopping experience." There doens't seem to be an edit function on this website.
Hey you look great best part is you can find two bras for $20 or sometimes $10 there. It's almost enough to make you feel criminal right? Haha! I'm so happy. No Kore infection right? Have you accidentally awakened sleeping on your tummy yet? It's shocking and oh so comfy. I'm still a solid 34 A ( 34*B at VS because they try to make you feel better ) and 34 B in those little juniors bras. I bought a strapless to go with a top I got at target and I was shocked when it just stayed put there on my chest. Still feel like a little furl at Christmas. Only complaint I have is an unresolved suture that's giving me fits. I've tried to perform my own surgery a few times but I just end up making it worse. I'm making a trip home for hair appointment, dental cleaning and a trip to see Dr C to see if he can make this bump go away. The moving struggle is real. Not a day goes by I don't miss home. Still buying lottery tickets.

Your shopping trip was brilliant. I can almost feel the smile on your face and it's a wonderful thing. Hugs.
Lisa, you have to tell me when you're planning your trip back here, so hopefully, I can finally meet you in person! As far as sleeping on my tummy, yes, I have been doing that. The other amazing thing that happened last week is that I went on a little spa trip to Nemacolin with a girlfriend. It was the first time in YEARS that I had a massage and was comfortable lying face down on the massage table. It was incredible! As far as my infection, yes it's cleared, although the left breast is still the slightest, bit red, so I don't know what's causing that. And I am continuing to "spit" sutures, found a few last week that my husband removed. I think I've mentioned that he's a surgical nurse, which makes i t very convenient. I'll be crossing my fingers that you pick a winning lottery ticket!
Yay! Congrats!:) I know, I hated shopping for bras, even at Victoria Secret I couldn't find anything that fit correctly or comfortably, for the last few years I started wearing sports bras with a undershirt over that!desperation!lol. I look forward to bra shopping after I fully heal and extra good news for me, my eldest Daughter now works at Victoria Secret, so I can get a discount;)
wow, you don't look old enough to have a daughter who works at VS, but great news about that discount!
Congrats to you! So happy for you...Be well! Thanks for sharing your story.
