I've had my implants for 13 years. I am currently wearing a 34 G/GG and have a lot of pain and discomfort due to how big they are. I was a 34 D prior to implants.
I can't not find any clothes or bras they actually fit me well. My biggest symptoms are extreme exhaustion and feeling like I can't breathe. I have spent many months on this site researching my procedure and thought I would share my own journey to help others as well.

We are having our surgeries the same day! Ha! That's awesome! Maybe I'll get to high 5 you in the waiting area! It's a super facility. Have you been there? There's a pretty decent cafe - awesome free childcare for two hours and it's a super clean and gorgeous campus There's a pharmacy on site so you won't have to run anywhere to fill prescriptions hopefully. Let me know if you have any questions. I go there for my ob/gyn appts, mammogram last week. I'm stoked. What a cinco de Mayo celebration we are going to have!

Oh wow! I will definitely high five you in recovery if we see each other! Very comforting to know we are in the same Dr's hands! It's coming up so fast! How are you feeling about the lift? I have not been to the surgery center yet, but have heard nice things about it. I live closer to Kennywood...

Yes! It's new to know for sure. How am I feeling about it? Honestly I have mixed feelings. I'd be lying if I didn't say I was a little nervous. He said my surgery would be around 3.5 hours. I've never been under that long and that's what's got me feeling a little scared. I suppose I won't be aware of it at the time, right? Ugh..... yes two weeks to go. Are you excited? Have everything you'll need at home for recovery?

The big day is coming up so quickly! I believe I have everything I need for recovery. Dr Clavijo even suggested a couple of homeopathic supplements. I really like him. I looked him up, I wasn't aware that prior to plastic surgery, he was a trauma and critical care dr! Makes me feel like we will be on good hands. I will definitely be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers on surgery day. I am nervous as well. I am just ready to be pain free and hopefully wear smaller bras! Lol

I'm soooooo readddyyyyy!

Oh and I've used Anica before and had zero bruising. I didn't use it for explant bec I was led to believe it would be a very quick and simple surgery. I never received a piece of paper or any verbal instructions for dos and dents before surgery. I think maybe that's why I was surprised at how difficult the fist few days of recovery were for me. My expectations were for something else. My implants were over the muscle so I never had much pain with BA or revisions. Removal of the capsule though was pretty painful. It was never anything the pain meds couldn't control, but like I said it was way more sensation than I had with previous surgeries. A lot of girls don't have much pain at all. I think the size of my implants and the amount of real estate they occupied May have had a lot to do with it. Of course you are going to wear smaller bras. You're going to be able to buy cute frilly little things with tiny straps, and it feels so fantastic.

8 days now! Here we go! Haha I feel like that was a true Pittsburgh thing to say lol. I literally finally cried after months of trying to get to this point. Did u feel like you were losing a limb? I really hope you are feeling good and ready for your procedure too!

I was feeling just like that - but I almost couldn't wait. Jokingly I used to make my hubby hold my breasts for 30 seconds just so I could enjoy the weightlessness. It turned out to feel every bit as good and INSTANTLY. I remember waking up from surgery and saying oh my god this feels good. 8 days and yes I am getting super nervous this time. The what ifs are getting me big time. My husband is supportive but thinks it's totally unnecessary so at the end of the day i feel super guilty about spending the money, Lifts aren't cheap and I wouldn't expect them to be. There's a lot more skill and artistry involved in them versus putting implants in. I'm going to start my arnica tablets next Tuesday evening, I figure I'll substitute fresh pineapple for the bromelian. Aldo has them on sale this week for $1.50. Plus watching my husband try to slice it ought to be a riot. Lol

I wonder who will go firs me or you?

Oh good question! I wish we could get surgery times now lol. I don't like not knowing my schedule for my days

I think the surgery center will call Thurs and ask a lot of questions like allergies, meds currently taken etc then give us a time to be there.

I know - 3 days!!! Time is flying and I've got a lot of cleaning to do. No vacuuming for at least a month after. I'm ready too!! Let's do this! :) Maybe I'll see you Friday Sarah. If not I'll be sending some good thoughts your way. We have to arrange follow up appts close so we can grab coffee or lunch. I'd love that. I'll send you a pm when I get my time Thursday! Yay! So excited.

It's even more exciting for you. You get to toss all your bras and most of your tops. You won't believe how much lighter you'll feel.

Thank you so much! I am nervous but super content with the decision to remove these terribly heavy breasts. Looking back, I can't figure out for the life of me why I choose them lol

I fell asleep mid message lol.... Dr C said he remove a lot of scar tissue /capsule remaining from my explant. I'm glad he did that and I was told by a former surgeon (ahem) that had been taken care of....SMH

Dr C was amazing. He had me laughing so hard yet he also gave my husband a strong sense that he was able to reshape my remaining tissue to remove the hole I had and did a reduction in one side to match them in size. I have one drain to carry around d until Thursday. I have very little pain - just a twinge here and there. I had zero nausea after too. I hope your experience was as wonderful. I bet you're going to be surprised with that weight off your chest. I can't wait to hear about your day.

Hey! I am so glad you feeling great! I am feeling pretty amazing and I can BREATHE again. I loved Dr. C, seriously such a great bed side manor for a surgeon. He is funny too and I loved that about him. I am not having any pain and I don't feel loopy either. I feel clear and my body feels relieved. No nausea either. So happy for both of us... was a wonderful experience. I believe I seen a man in the waiting area that may have been your husband but I didn't want to ask. I think the hardest part is waiting to see the results. I hope you are resting well...
May 6, 2017
Yay. That's super! I love him too. I wish I'd have used him for my explant - this surgery was such a better experience. I wish I could sleep though. I keep wanting to nap but I just take teeny cat naps.

I'm pretty sure we got numbing meds and that's why we don't feel it yet. I'm taking my pain meds tonight because I remember when I wasn't in front of it with my explant.

Hey - sweet Dreams explant sister! Welcome to the other side! Eat well, rest well, and keep thinking happy thoughts!

BTW I told Dr C we had been chatting. He made a funny comments t but I can't remember much right now. Lol

Hi! Just stopped by to say hello. How are you feeling today? I feel almost normal (strangely) but I'm taking one more day of rest. My little one is staying an extended day in preschool. I want to clean- shop- resume painting baseboards but I am committed to taking it easy. Maybe I'll go see a movie! Have you peeked yet? :)

Hey... I am just taking it very easy. I am so worried of developing a seroma that I am scared to do anything lol. Today I have all these weird sensations going on, maybe the nerves and tissue adjusting? I have not peeked... I want too but to scared too lol though I am so over this wrap thing and bandages. I can't figure out what's me and what's the padding lol How are you feeling today? I am so excited for your results, he truly did an amazing job. How does it feel after having the lift? I can't believe how very little discomfort I have been having and zero pain
May 9, 2017
Worst part is constipation!!! And bloating!!! I've literally been eating these fiber gummies like they're candy. Today I had oat bran for breakfast it seriously stinks! I got to ditch my bandage yesterday. It feels so good to shower. Hang in there - Thursday will be here before you know it.

No pain. My nipples are still numb but they're less purple every day so I'm super stoked about that. I guess the risk is real! He knew exactly what to do though.

I can tell you my explant was crazy painful. I'm not sure what this Dr does differently (likely more than one thing) but even the nurses at the surgery center said his patients always do much better than the other PS that work there.

Have a happy day!! Talk soon!
