I was feeling like I could use an eye lift. All of a sudden I couldn't wear eye makeup because my upper lids were drooping. I could feel my lids with my lashes when I opened my eyes. It was bugging me! I knew Dr. Stallman was the best because I had had my lower lids done years ago. Took years off my look! I was totally confident in Dr. Stallman's abilities and his staff are the best! I got in when I wanted and the procedure took less than an hour. You're awake the whole time. It was pretty easy. The healing took a good 10 days of bruising and swelling but that's to be expected. It's been 3 months now and I'm back to wearing whatever makeup I want and it looks great! I'm super grateful to Dr. Stallman and wouldn't choose anyone else. He's a real perfectionist.

Hi! If you have natural folds you've had all your life like Renee Zellwigger or Fergie then I would say leave it alone. If you just don't like your newer folds then go for it. It's a simple procedure that is super subtle but makes a big difference. No one will know. You will just look more awake, youthful and bigger eyes. I would not imagine you would need the surgery again at 50. Your skin would have to sag considerably. I would look closer at 60 or 70. It will restore your eyes to how they were 20 yrs ago, again subtle and simple procedure. If it's bothering you I say go for it. It's a win win. I actually saw the procedure on an English makeover show. They were giving them to people randomly along with hair and style. We saw the procedure done within minutes and the person was talking the whole time. They did it on men and women. This gave me the idea. It takes about 10 days for swelling to subside but not noticeable. The scar is hidden in the crease so within days you can't see it. Let me know if you do it. All the best!

how old are you when you got it?? not sure what you mean about natural folds?? my eyes look "smaller" than at 25.. my eye liner for example used to stay on under neath now it smudges off.. the skin is NOT hanging AS THE DOCTOR SAID ITS mild to moderate so prob 5 more years it be worse or it could stay the same.. i thought it last about 10 yeras.. so was thinking at 50 i would need it again.. did you have just moderate skin removed? i was worried too bec i saw some people cant close there eye lids after and worred about vision issues!!!! you have any pics?

I had very minimal. The doctor could hardly see it so he said it would be very minimal. If your skin goes back to how it was at 20 you will have at least 20 yrs. before next surgery if at all. I had my lowers done 10 yrs. ago and they actually get better over time. The doctor said it would be minimal but to me it was totally worth it and more than minimal. I'm a perfectionist so this just started bothering me and I took care of it. Now liner etc. goes on the same as it did at 20. I just the uppers done 3 months ago. It needs the 3 months to heal and all swelling to subside. Of course it's minimal swelling during the 3 months but you really see the results at 3 months. I expect it to last a really long time.

oh wow so you same age as me . can i see pic before and after?? for uppers ?? were you worried any side effects in any way though?? do you know any one else that had a good or bad experience with upper?? you think 7 days off is enough time?? im told about 3000 cost and i would have local anesthesia , sedation

Check out yelp or realself for lots of before and afters etc. 7 days is fine for taking off work. No local just numbing the area and a sedative just so you're calm. I didn't need the sedative but it does help if you're nervous. You don't feel anything. No side effects. It's an easy surgery. No one will be able to tell at 7 days but you.

Your doctor will have great pics at your consult in office. Age doesn't matter. The doctor will show you before and afters of those with the same amount of skin to be removed as you have. That's what will show you the best outcome for you. That's what helped me the most and was the most accurate. Good luck to you.

i figured you would wantt to show yours off since you said it came out great.. i would have jjust given you my email but no problem!!

Wow, that was strange. I don't know you at all. Manipulation doesn't work on most people.

Same age! I don't know that you would need surgery again in 10 yrs. I think once you take off the excess skin it takes a long time to "grow back" so to speak. If it bugs you now, go for it. You will have at least 10 years of feeling great. If you're unhappy now, it's such an easy peasy procedure and so worth it. It just took 10 yrs. off my eyes. I love it.

They will last for more than 10 yrs. and you will be done with the issue. It's not a hard surgery at all. I can see maybe having to do it again at 60 but not necessarily. The upper lid never goes back to how it was. It's a simple procedure so I would say it's worth it. Not much down time at all.

Still great, don't really notice anymore. Just great. The only thing is that your vision does get blurry and doesn't really recover. It's been almost 1 yr. and still a bit blurry. Not sure why that is. Your eyes get drier after this upper lid surgery. That could be why it's blurry at times. Otherwise it's really great and I wouldn't go to anyone other than Dr. Stallman.

The dryness and blurry DOES go away after awhile. No worries.

Hi Allnaturalme. I'm considering upper and lower with Dr. Stallman. Also fillers. I know I want the surgeries, I'm just not sure of who to have do the work. Can you tell me how you choose him and if you researched/consulted with other cosmetic surgeons before you chose him?

I've researched and consulted with all the Doctors from Paso Robles to Santa Maria. Please go to Dr. Stallman. You won't regret it. He's the finest and his eye is keen. His filler technique is bar none. He has an associate, a woman who is also good but you want the best. Go to Stallman for everything. The surgery is really quite simple. You won't feel as though you had surgery. Healing is very very quick with the eyes and you'll feel amazing. Of course you'll shave off 10 or more years too and that's always a boost in confidence. Good luck!
