Severe lower gum recession after Invisalign 3 years, teeth turning to fast. Opted for pinhole to fix it so I can continue my Invisalign to get my bottom teeth straight. I heard about the pinhole procedure instead of the more invasive gum graft.

How were your results? Are you still happy with it? Also would like your input on recovery? Thinking about doing my entire lower arch

Liz, I am getting pinhole surgery on my entire upper arch next week. I have read that pinhole surgery does not work well on the lower arch. My next two surgeries will be regular gum grafting on the lower. I would go to at least 3 periodontists and get the best. I went to 6 different periodontists... all of them giving different advice. Getting multiple opinions may save you money in the long run from losing teeth (at $5k a pop on implants...one tooth at a time). Good Luck!

Hey I had this procedure almost 7 days ago, it was just a single front tooth my gum had receded on. I was wondering how bad was your swelling? As my top lip is still swollen. Did you have trouble talking as well? As you had your whole upper arch done.
