Jkmad, you look terrific! I was 4 weeks on Monday and I totally understand your depression, I am dealing with that also. Strangely enough, my measurements haven't changed much either, however my tummy is FLAT. I'm sure we still have a lot of swelling. Hang in there, you look beautiful and I think your belly button is great! (((hug)))

Awe thanks so much newbellyisbagin! I have my 6 wk post op appt next week, so I will ask about my measurement and why they aren't shrinking lol. It's a lot to take in...seeing your belly being flat but still feel fat and inches still being the same. I'm glad someone out there feels the same way but hope it gets better for both of us!

5 weeks and feeling down

I am currently 5 weeks post opt and I'm feeling extremely down. I'm not sure why. I'm tired of wearing these spanx 24/7. I want to wear normal panties. Since my mood is blah I've been eating crappy too and only walking three times a week. I don't seem like I swell much after my walks. I want to hit the gym with light weights but hubby says no and my doc app isn't til the 14th.

I measure my waist and I'm still the exact same size I was 5 weeks ago ????. I have a little wiggle room in my pants but realt was hoping to drop a size or two. I plan on doing some back to school shopping with my son tomorrow maybe that'll put me in a better mood.

This Wednesday will be 4 week post op and I'm loving the results so far! I'm hardly swelling but I haven't started exercising yet, I'm starting today. I plan on walking a mile and doing leg and butt exercises and see how I feel afterwards. If I don't swell much I'll do a little more tomorrow. I can now fit into my "work" clothes but they aren't loose. I return to work in 4 weeks so I need to be able to fit them... I hate to buy bigger clothes when I know I won't need them for long. I'm hoping I'll be able to do so why shopping for smaller clothes in the next couple of weeks ????.
