I had picoway treatment on my back on February 18th. I also had my arm tattoo lasered, which the technician included without additional pay. The arm would be my fifth session. The last time I got it lasered was in late 2019. I'm curious if the "hyperpigmentation" will completely disappear after this round.

My back has slight scarring/textural changes. I'm wondering if the Qswitch on Tx-10 did that. As for the picoway session, it only pinched. I was able to work out easily afterward (even floor work on my back). The treatment site is beginning to itch already, but nothing compared to the itching I experienced in earlier sessions.

The technician re-scheduled me for tx-12 May 18th. I'm not sure if I'll get laser again after three months, or wait a little longer in between. I think I could imagine complete removal by next summer. But I feel that I might also be comfortable showing some sun on my back by this summer.

I've been going through a stressful period lately (with exams and applications), which has been influencing my body image concerns as well. I've been picking at my back since earlier this year, which has been causing some acne. I need to be a bit more precious about this habit, and to take care of my skin. I'm hoping that I'll be a bit more relaxed about all of this soon enough.

I don't obsess about my tattoo anymore, but the outline is still there, as well as a few grey dots. I'll be getting my 11th session on February 18th.
I think it might be one of my last ones. Maybe I'll get one more, but likely next year or in the winter. I might be getting some sun on it this summer! It's beginning to look like the state of my arm tattoo (which has faint pigmentation, but blends in with my skin when I'm tan).
During this whole process (2.5 years), I've grown my hair out. I like its length. but in some ways, I've been growing it to hide my tattoo, or to balance the intensity/masculinity of its form with the femininity of having long hair. Lately, I've been wanting to chop off my hair again (back into a bob). I don't feel ready to do that yet, because I still think my tattoo has some ways to go. In any case, I think I'm at the last stretch.

Checked out my back more carefully for the first time in a while. The edges have faded quite a bit, but you can still see the general silhouette. Some parts have completely faded and aren't visible at all, which makes me hopeful that the entire piece can get to that point as well. On my right shoulder there's a bit of blistering/reddish marks. Hope that goes away over time. And toward the center near my spine there are still parts where there's a black dot. Not too concerned about those as long as the general form of the tattoo fades. I'll probably book my next appointment for January or February next year. Getting there...
