PicoWay Tattoo Removal

WORTH IT
I got my second tattoo (a wreath of leaves/flowers) about two months ago. I was happy with it at first, but as it healed some blowouts started to appear and I realized I didn't like the location on my arm being the first thing people noticed about me when I wear short sleeves. I am a perfectionist, so I really wouldn't be able to look at any tattoo on my arm forever without getting sick of looking at it, especially since it didn't quite turn out the way I hoped. Pretty soon after getting the tattoo I had a lot of anxiety and regret about it.
I thought that if I added some words on top of it that would make me like it better somehow. But, those letters didn't heal well and got blowouts as well (I think it is my thin skin). So that just made me dislike my arm even more.
So, here I am, wanting my old arm back, with my first PicoWay appointment scheduled for October 5th. They estimate it will take 10 treatments spaced 8 weeks apart, at about $150 each.
I will post updates here for anyone else who is considering this process. Wish me luck.

Day after first treatment

I went in for my first treatment yesterday. The gave me numbing cream, but I didn’t get to use it for this first treatment because they had to move my appointment time up unexpectedly and I didn’t have time to run home for my numbing cream. It did feel quite intense (like a hot knife), but it was very quick so bearable. After about a half hour after, it began to sting and ache, but ibuprofen and icing it made that bearable. This morning it feels fine. No blisters or anything crazy yet! Hope it stays that way. We will see how long it takes before I see some fading.

About two weeks after 1st treatment

The branches still look exactly the same, but the lines of the letters are starting to break up (they were pretty thin and faint to begin with). The places where the ink is beginning to fade are turning a brownish color. My next treatment is on Nov. 29th!

Sorry about the quality of the photo! It seems to have gotten a bit blurry when I uploaded it to the post.

I hope u keep updating. Just got a tattoo done in August and it was filled in early October. I can't look at it. And have consulatations for tattoo removal next week. I cannot wait. I'd rather have it removed in a short span of a few years than live with it forever.

I will definitely keep updating :) When I was considering removal I looked everywhere for other people’s experiences to see what to expect. So I want to share my experiences for others in the same situation. Make sure you go somewhere with a pico laser! My recovery time was only about two days of slight swelling, with no blisters or anything like that. I can’t wait for my next appointment.
