Red rose regret

Being only 19 years old and living with tattoo regret is something that most people aren't going to have to ever experience, unfortunately i'm not one of those people but you live and learn. I got these roses tattooed to represent my siblings but as soon as I left the shop and sat in my car and looked at the finished product, I instantly knew I didn't like it. Not saying the actual tattoo was bad or anything I just didn't like them on me. Two year later I have finally decided to get them removed with the picoway laser. I don't even want to remind myself how much I paid for the procedure ($3800 for 6 sessions), but my mom always tells me that money comes and goes and I should prioritize being happy over having a few thousand sitting in my bank account. I just had my first session done today and I have officially started my journey in removing my tattoo. The picture I attached is of my tattoo with numbing cream on before the actual laser procedure.

7 weeks post treatment #1
mrodd__December 3, 2018
A little over 7 weeks later and little progress has been made. I notice the black in the roses is starting to fade. Slow and steady I guess. The healing process was actually super easy. No blistering, little scabbing. Now that I know what to expect for the actual treatment i'm not so worried anymore, I just want this off of me. Best of luck to everyone going through this too.

Wishing you the best on your journey . I’ve felt the same way about my recovery the pain doesn’t feel that bad and I fully recover in 5 days . I just went in for my 5th session with picoway and I do notice that the lighter the tattoo gets the stronger they do the laser and the longer it takes to recover but it’s still worth it. I love picoway

yeah the healing is super easy, and they say you get what you paid for so hopefully the high price of the picoway is worth it. Good luck with yours too.

I stated layering my off as well. They had to turn up the settings bc it wasn’t making any progress.

5 days post treatment #2
mrodd__December 20, 2018
Once again no blisters so i'm doing alright. I hope I see more fading this time around but i'm trying to not get ahead of myself. I stopped smoking and i've been going to the gym 4-5 days a week to stay healthy and hopefully it'll speed this process up a lot faster. It also helps me keep my mind off all the negative thoughts i've been having since i've started this. Next appointment isn't until february 18th so i'll post an update right before I get treatment #3

It looks like a lot of the blacks in your tat have faded out and that's good. Are you planning to do cover up or try for full removal??

i'm shooting for a complete removal but if I start hitting the 12/13 session mark with still a long way to go i'll call it quits and get a cover up

Here is a very similar tat who went thru 13 picosure treatments, although I think picoway will produce better results. She got pretty darn close to full removal but ended up having a cover up done. I'm interested cuz I have a section of red roses I want removed and I wanna follow the progress cuz I know red is hard to get out. https://www.realself.com/review/scottsdale-az-tattoo-removal-bad-cover-and-for-the-remove

are you going for a full removal too? The nurse at my clinic told me that red is one of the hardest to take out but it's possible with enough treatments and taking good care of it during the healing process and that she has seen it happen before.
